  1. Hey Terry, Don't sweat it. I just checked it out myself. Nice catch! Hard to argue with since it's from the HK site. Thanks for posting it since I don't regularly check the german site. Leo
  2. What brand/color paints did you use? Looks fantastic! Leo
  3. Sorry if I missed this, but is that a Dinah in the first pic? Looks like a mockup or a pre-production. What is that? I'm intrigued! Leo
  4. Yes, but I am interested in an earlier G... I am willing to overlook the staggered waist, but would really like a stinger. Does anyone know if HK sells replacement sprues? Maybe I could order the necessary sprues for the stinger once the F is out. Thanks, Leo
  5. Seems like a couple guys said they were trying to do this, but can't find any details... Thanks , Leo
  6. Cees, Are you going to re-rivet the whole thing? And what is your plan for the canopy? Looking great!
  7. Ha! I just started doing the same thing! In conjunction with a pcm tempest. I've got the tempest ready for paint and just started rescribing the typhoon. I have been trying to get a hold of Paul Fisher to order a sea fury canopy for this one. Are you planning the same thing? Leo Ps, did you notice the rocket mount holes in the wing? I'm sure they were planning a bubbletop at some point!
  8. I bought a partial of this set to convert a Dragon 110C to a G day fighter. The resin is pretty rough, in my opinion. I don't have any photos right now, but the panel lines were irregular and sloppy in many places. It does not look like the nice gray pieces in the link. Additionally, the surface of the resin had an orange peel texture to it... Not a very straight forward conversion. Leo
  9. Now that I have the workbench close to completion, hopefully I can get to work on this B-24!
  10. Here is a big part of why I have no updates on this one... My new workshop at the new house!
  11. This has been a long time shelf sitter for me. I found the part was a pretty good match width wise, but the tricky part is getting it to fit the back where it meets the fuselage AND be high enough to match the "fixed" canopy from Dragon. I'll see if I can find a picture to share. Leo
  12. Sadly, no. We bought a new house and that along with the holidays have eaten up all my time... I am going to start putting my workbench together tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have something to show early in the new year! Leo
  13. A big public thank you to Tom Probert for sending me scaled plans for my B-24! Thanks Tom! Leo
  14. I think you're right Thomas! I went back and checked and there does seem to be one missing. I'll contact John and see what I can find out! Leo
  15. Here is a better shot of what you get from John at Tigger Models... Plus some early scratchbuilding I did while waiting for the kit to arrive. Leo
  16. I've got the combat model set, which is actually quite nice! Good tip about the nose weight and wing spar! Leo
  17. 1/32 B-26 Marauder or an A-20G Havoc!!!! Would nicely round the US twin category!
  18. After watching Tom Probert dazzle us for the last couple of his builds, I decided to jump in with both feet and attempt to build a 1/32 B-24 to compete with all of the wonderful B-17s coming off the line! (Good work everyone!) So here it is, just out of the shipping container! Unfortunately, I am only going to be able to do a little bit at first because we are moving in 3 weeks and I have to start packing up everything soon. Thanks for lookiing! Leo
  19. Beautiful work! As you have heavily weathered (quite accurately) your hornet, make sure that carrier deck is really banged up! In my experience, by the fourth or fifth month of deployment the landing area gets very worn and you can hardly see the centerline anymore due to wear and buildup of rubber from thousands of touchdowns. Looking great! Leo
  20. Hey Tom, Awesome work! Is there no dihedral to the wing on this one? I'm just trying to compare your previous work on the B-29. It's really coming together great! Leo
  21. I'm still watching with interest. If only for scratchbuilding lessons.
  22. How did you cut out the dome so accurately? Looks like you used a miniature laser!! Leo
