  1. A prototype will also be shown at the Euroscale Modeling 2010 in the Netherlands. HTH Tim
  2. Hi Barry, Yes I think I will start up a thread this weekend or the next one. I'm rounding up the Furies before their final coating and the pilots need finishing. Then the F-8C gets full attention. I am currently researching the areas to be addressed (your build is a good guide of course) and performing the major surgery (cutting off the nose e.g.). Best Tim
  3. The pictures are out of focus. Especially the most crucial element: the canopy is not clearly visible. And I cannot find it back on the website. Nice conversion though. T
  4. Wow Barry, this build is really interesting. I just put the knive in my F-8 ©...long way to go...My Sea Furies are done... Those LAU launchers should be put on the market by Zactoman (Chris Wilson)! Best, Tim
  5. Well, I have three sets...I was lucky, market price back then (89 USD). And now they do around 200 USD T
  6. Hi Barry, I figured as much. I'm currently researching my F-8C project and the LAU-7 is an issue to be aware of. I am also planning an inflight display. It would be nice if Chris 'Zactoman' adds the correct LAU's to the winders. I am also thinking about snatching a few from the F-4J kit. Br,T
  7. Hi Barry, Are you going to use the Zactoman Sidewinders on this project? Best,Tim
  8. Excellent work. This is one of the weaker points in the kit! And you should definitely be prepared for the wing!
  9. For those interested in Dutch markings for the T-33 (and Hunter T.7): http://www.flevodecals.net/ Tim
  10. That 'foray' worked out quite well so far! Good work my man!!
  11. This must be a rewarding project!! Nice scratchbuilding work
  12. nice work. Interesting project!
  13. Gabriel, Nice start!! Beware of the fitting issues and missing bits and pieces (antenne, landing light, rear bulkhead, etc). Keep it up. Tim
  14. price will be around USD $ 105 I learned from IsraDecal. Br,Tim
  15. Barry, You just provided the idea I will try as well. This is very handy for transporting purposes!!! Nice work on the panel fitting! Best,Tim
  16. ah yes, practice makes perfect looking good!
  17. Barry, I am planning on my F-8C in flight as well. The lines of the F-8 then really show why it was - for its day - the gunfighter to beat. The dogfight show was about Richard Schaffert I believe flying for VF-111. Classic fight, 10 minutes long! The scheme is quite easy to paint/airbrush as I discovered during my Hasegawa build. Br,T
  18. Good choice!!! I got my hands on an intake from Rhino as well. Cdr. Nichols would be honoured I'm sure!!
  19. Barry, what squadron will adorn this last of the gunfighters? Best Tim
  20. Beautiful work, great pictures! Tim
  21. If you drop him an email he'll send you the latest catalogue! Very nice guy and great stuff! Tim
