Derek B
Grant (Tnarg) said that he always wanted to make a splinter camouflaged Gripen, but one did not exist in that particular scheme...until now. I speculated that if I were in charge of the Flygvapnet, I would paint a Gripen in that scheme as a special anniversary scheme for an ex-Viggen squadron (I could always wish that someone else had at least the same thought). As it turned out (thankfully for us), they did! It looks like the Flygvapnet are retiring their JAS39A and B aircraft and have painted a JAS39A in the famous (and unique) Swedish splinter low level camouflage scheme for its last flight. http://www.ipmsstockholm.se/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2209 Daniel Leduc

Tnarg
Derek, When I saw that "what if" Danish machine or the Indian Air Force digital camo (also "what if", I am afraid) I thought that either would be a good way to color your Gripen. However, when the Swedish Air Force returns to "their one true camouflage" that becomes the color of choice. If you build it, they will come, as the movie says... and I sure want one of those kits now. Tnarg
