Malc ireson
Hi all, This is the Trumpy Skyraider made a couple of years ago when it first came out. Even then head and shoulders above the ZM ones. Out2gtcha, Jan_G and MikeMaben
Out2gtcha
Wow, that looks phenomenal! Any more pics? Even then head and shoulders above the ZM ones. Ive investigated the Trumpy SPAD prior to buying the ZM version, so cant speak to the way the Trumpy kit builds up, but having built the ZM kit I can attest its a VERY nice kit. The only comment would be fixing the "movable" folding wing mechanism. Malc ireson
LSP_Kevin
Nice build, Malc! Glad you were able to figure out the photo-posting challenge. Kev Malc ireson

Guest
Nice. Just my .2 cents...the ZM Skyraider is a VERY nice kit. I have to say though, I have not built a Trumpeter kit but I have built the ZM kit. It would be hard to believe the Trumpeter kit is measurably better. Like I said, just my .2 cents. Malc ireson
Thanks all. I am currently building the ZM kit, a few pics in the construction section, the fit of the ZM kit is questionable, but the dea tail is outstanding. The fit of the Trumpy one is great and the detail is acceptable, can't have it both ways I suppose. Now I know how I will post some more pics later today. Many thanks for all the comments. wunwinglow
I would tend to put assembly accuracy over detail any day. If it doesn't go together, you end up grinding off all the detail to make it fit...... Malc ireson
Malc ireson
Yes, totally right. That is why it started out as a Navy or, but due to the gaps and filler, I decided to do a USAF one. Saving the Trumpy one for the navy version
Joel_W
Very nicely done. Would love to see more pictures of the finished Skyraider. Joel
