I cover with putty and sanded of some overscaled rivets along the fin and rudder.... there are just not there....or may I say, they are there, but much more numerous and smaller...and BTW the edge of the fin is now ready...thin and sharp... Menelaos
I got the walls of the cockpit apart... the Detail Level is exeptional ... much more better than of the F-104 ... this is the basis that you can start on putting much more details on them...BTW the stick is glued in the wrong direction but that's not a Problem... The seat needs a lot ... and there's no wall behind the seat.... Girlscanplay2, jgrease, sandokan and 2 others

Menelaos
I started with the front Instrument Panel... that is realy nice made, nothing to complain, but it can be better. The whole thing is a 2 part piece. I changed each Instrument with new ones and put the font and back Piece again together...this is a first step Then I open some holes in the fuselage and create some new panes on the fin. Menelaos
The 1:18 scale is a realy nice one for rather small aircraft. Edited June 2, 2015 by Menelaos
Menelaos
as I wrote above my modeling time is almost 0...so here is some minor work.... I took a look at the gun bay ...there's a lot to change here: first the late bis ejection ports from the 23mm guns must be flattend, then the fairings are the shorten type and must be Extended...and their front Portion is too squared... to work here you have to remove the guns and ammunition drums...here's how you will achieve this... Menelaos
BTW reading a lot about the soviet aces of that time, I came to the conclusion that Sutyagin was propably not the highest ranking ace of all. There are many controversial articles about him. In the Osprey book of aces he's listed as the highest scoring ace, but no word about him and his Action is written on that book! Menelaos
some small work again... I closed all of the screw holes, also closed some of big lines on the fin, that are not there .... and started put some detailing inside of the airbrakes housing.. Out2gtcha
Looks great Menelaos! The OOB detail on something that big is really not all that bad, and not nearly what I would have expected on a "toy". Doing great work, keep it up!
