bsarnoffca
Thanks much for the comments, guys. Jay, Brian the light weathering sounds good. I'll give it a try. There's still alot of plumbing that will be added so the engine will have more depth than it does now. Thanks again for decals Piet...not too far off. i'll let you know. gustave venelt
Awsome engine Bsar!! I'm eagerly waiting to see her colours, even though she won't have any roundels ! Good luck on the paint job
bsarnoffca
Thanks Gustave. Not French this time, can you believe it? Is your MS finished...post pics!
bsarnoffca
Finished the basic painting. Still need to add weathering and stains.
bsarnoffca
Another underside. I'm getting better with the camera but still missing alot of detail.
bsarnoffca
Topside. The colors were fun. The green is an Italian bright green and the darker green is a mix of RLM 82 and a darker green. The engine is just put for this picture. Still needs a bit more work.
bsarnoffca
I went too light on the preshading so the colors covered it. I'll have to post shade.

bsarnoffca
Here's more of the engine. It might be hard to make out but a nice effect that came about accidently was that I tried RLM 70 as the dark green on the near wing and I didn't like the way it looked. I sanded it down but left some which shows through the lighter green and makes for a nce pre-shade effect.
jimbo
Wow Bill, looks fantastic! Really colorful. Can't wait to see how it finishes out! Thatnks for the updates... Jimbo
LSP_Matt
Great work Bill. The engine is simply awesome...well worth any effort. The painting looks a corker so far. Such a great looking scheme. I think the Theatre markings look especially realisitc and 'sprayed to scale' as though you had Radu's Shink-o-ray for the weekend. I saw all the detail in the wheel wells but ah you gunna kill me....the holes for the wheel well buldges Great work mate Cheers Matty
bsarnoffca
Thanks jimbo, Matty. Yeah, I fixed all the details I could from a G6 to G2 but I couldn't figure a good way to alter those wheel buldges.
