phasephantomphixer
the name, but what is meant by box name of USS A-7E Corsair II? I have done some searching of reviews, but no one mentions it. Isn't "USS" designation for a ship? Surely obvious oversight on my part - i'm used to it....
Jack
relax, at release time of that kit, the "patent issue" was NOT to mention its original brand name, viz. Vought aircraft. Don't ask me why, but they "circumnavigated" that problem by using the name "USS".........go figure.....just build the kit, you'll enjoy it....... phasephantomphixer and Kagemusha
Kagemusha
Just had a google out of curiosity and the A-7D is a USAF A-7D, maybe they put USS instead of USN. phasephantomphixer and Jack
phasephantomphixer
Maybe they wouldn't get me so worked up if they just called it "Navy" like they did "USAF" for the D. Guess I just miss the L.T.V. I am reworking one now from a fellow LSP'er which already has the Zacto set installed.

LSP_K2
To answer one part of your question, yes, USS stands for United States Ship.
