Revell 1/350 Tirpitz

Not the Tirpitz, specifically, but I recently snatched this excellent volume on the Bismarck (and the companion volume on the Yamato/Musashi as well). All I can say is that if you have any interest at all in any of these ships, you should really chase down a copy, as they are both truly wonderful books. Osprey has reprinted both of these titles (formerly Conway/Bloomsbury books).

It can be painted...it takes a loooot of masking tape and patience but the splinter scheme is quite eye catching...which begs the qusetion I guess, is it really camouflage? Here's Academy's reboxed Tamiya 1:350 I did about 10 years ago. no improvements but railings and radars

It is because it camouflages speed, attitude and direction.
