The Madhatter
Hi everyone I present my latest work, the 1/1000 Bandai Space Battleship Yamato 2202 Kongo class ship the "Yunagi" For those of you who don't know me, I am a huge sci-fi fan who loves to add detail to star ships to give them a more rugged look. This ship is 20cm long and it is lit. The WIP for those interested is here It's painted in Tamiya and Gunze acrylics Ignore the stand - it's only there to support it until I can get a fleet base set up. And yes, I did just notice that the tail is a bit wonky. I will fix that shortly! ;DWell, that's it but as always, thanks for lookingSi Edited October 1, 2017 by The Madhatter Shaka HI, BiggTim, LSP_Kevin and 2 others

Gazzas
That's cool looking. But makes me wonder: What is painting like in a vacuum? Would the pressure from your sprayer blow you into space if you weren't tethered? How does paint dry in space without oxygen? Chemical reactive paint, perhaps? If using a brush, would your paint float out of your bucket the second you popped the lid? Gaz BiggTim and The Madhatter

The Madhatter
thanks guys glad you like it. I know Sci-fi isn't a huge subject covered here, but I hope to be able to contribute something in that arena here That's cool looking. But makes me wonder: What is painting like in a vacuum? Gaz Well the story behind the ships of SBY is that they are all able to fly in an atmosphere as well as space so it would stand to reason they would under go maintenance in an atmosphere as well. Still, its a good question and one I haven't really given any thought to until now
