ShelbyGT500
Yay, when I saw the woman sitting on a basket, I said to me - Jerry will use this photo for the reference pic, but after that I've just realised the true well that is impressive work ClumsyDude and JRutman

JRutman
Chavdar,Shawn,Boris and Tim!!! Thanks guys for chiming in with the kind words. Those names together reminds me of a law firm. Here is a set I forgot I had. I think I can make use of some stuff here. The gears are turning Here are numbers 36 and 37 for the scene. Stalingrad and excellent after a bit of clean up. All I changed was angling the boys' head down for a little timidity/scolded look. JohnW, Shaka HI, Shawn M and 2 others

JRutman
Thanks Shawn and Harv ! Decided I needed a horse and cart so.... Got an old Tamiya horse and historex head plus wheels from a new MB kit Melded the head and body plus built an axle made the trails from plastic and rounded the "horse ends" then framed them out added the floor made some sides finished off the night with primitive seat and removable back wall Next up is filling her up with the sad detritus of a family in flight and making the harnesss . Not as awesome as the 1/18 spitfire but someone may find it useful. Scratchbuilding doesn't have to be monstrously hard. ShelbyGT500
Well that would be interesting How you think to paint the horsy hand or air brush? JRutman
JRutman
Harv and Chavdar, Thanks guys for the comments. The horse will be brush painted of course !! I hate my airbrush, always have. Thanks guys, J ShelbyGT500 and BGB
JRutman
After looking at the horse again with a critical eye it made me realize the head was overly large. So...off with its' head ! A resin copy of a Italerei horses' head was found and so replaced the first one. I promise the first head didn't end up in a movie producers' bed ! I also decided to show said horse during a pit stop, getting some water from its' concerned family. Most rural folk really depended on their animals a lot in those days and I figured this would be no exception. So you have to take care of the livestock ! Opah is looking for his pipe "baccee" refill and the goat will provide some sustenance along the way(if it lasts that long)! Thanks for looking, J JohnW, ShelbyGT500 and Hubert Boillot

ClumsyDude
Brilliant stuff Jerry. Would love to see a step by step on your brush painting of the horse ... that's something I have no idea how to do. Thanks for posting!
