Mmarchal Posted April 23, 2016 Author Posted April 23, 2016 Found a bit of time to do some more work on the wings. They are now ready for the big black star insignia, which I'll try using masks rather than the decals. Then back to the fuselage, mask and paint. Uncarina 1
Guest Clunkmeister Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Awesome job so far. I love building these kits as well. Welcome!
Mmarchal Posted April 25, 2016 Author Posted April 25, 2016 Sprayed the black star insignia on the wings. Next finish the fuselage and assemble the wings. Uncarina and tucohoward 2
Mmarchal Posted May 2, 2016 Author Posted May 2, 2016 Nelly almost ready for decals. tucohoward and Uncarina 2
Mmarchal Posted May 7, 2016 Author Posted May 7, 2016 Little steps at a time, decals went on fine, next up are the wings. tucohoward, 109, Uncarina and 1 other 4
Mmarchal Posted May 10, 2016 Author Posted May 10, 2016 Bottom wing on, now the tricky top wing. Glued the struts to the bottom wing, then dry fitted the top wing on and used some elastic bands to keep them together. In the box she goes and hopefully the struts will dry nicely in position. Then the top wing will come off again and we can start the cross strut rigging. tucohoward and Uncarina 2
Mmarchal Posted May 11, 2016 Author Posted May 11, 2016 Here we go rigging, rigging and more rigging, don't hate it like some, but I am soooo slow at this. Better start another kit in parallel. Maybe the WNW W29 in my stash. Hardly any rigging required. tucohoward and Uncarina 2
Uncarina Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Looks good so far! What rigging material, eyelets, and turnbuckles are you using? Cheers, Tom
Mmarchal Posted May 11, 2016 Author Posted May 11, 2016 Hi, it's the elastic ez wire and the tubing from Bobs buckles TimW and Uncarina 2
Out2gtcha Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Looks wonderful!!!! Bobs B's are great stuff! I use them in conjunction with the Gaspatch stuff.
TimW Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Hi, it's the elastic ez wire and the tubing from Bobs buckles That stuff is, well, magic. Nice choice. Same one I want to do...someday! Beautiful work! Tim W
