You can see the scars from the throttle redo, and of course it really doesn't look much better than it did before said redo.

Thanks to MWHM's, I lost track of you for awhile! Also thankyou Harv, and Teresa!          Lather, rinse, repeat.

Hi y'all,

      Thankyou Kev!! First%20on%20the%20moon_zpstlrurw1d.png   :beer4:

I used Model Master FS 34151 in the pit, I don't know why I can't get a close color reproduction. I've got two cameras and I get the same results with both. DOH!

Anyway, I just wanted to tell everyone I didn't use Kitchen Dill green FS ######!

I don't know, has someone built a Zoukei-Mura P-51D here? I know ZM kits can be handfull to build for some.....They can test your patience. Anyway, the front scoop section has a

locater pin that fits into the bottom of the wing. Thus, you can use this part to find the location for the lower center section and the lower aft section at the tail wheel. That is, you work

from leading scoop edge to the rudder fitting the lower fuselage parts.

This ZM propeller is a work of art in itself!   Thank's Mr. Mura!

Hi y'all,

    Thanks Loic!

With my micro chisel I got the wing fairings to fit reasonably well.

     B9_zpsjvwxh0hr.jpg

With the chisel in position, I rock it from side to side to create a 'sawing' action, while still pressing down slightly. And finish the edge with a micro file.

  Hi,

    I didn't forget about this......

It was a rather 'intense' build and thus we needed to step away..........

I decided to hang this one up with fishing line. Just polishing from 400 to 12000 grit now.
