Thank you Williamj.

It's the best way (at least for me) that I found to "remove" all the rivets.

My first try with the Putty, was really not convincing, so I tried it with Zap. I find the results are better this way.

Cheers,

Hello everybody.

It's week-end, so it's time for a (little!) UP!

I finished one side of the fuselage.(rivets and scribing the panel lines.) I glued the canon bay en sanded it smooth with the (half) fuselage. Much sanding...... I also make the ejection holes. Sorry for the bad pictures.

I almost finished the AMS pit (thank you harold  )

I have to make little touch-up.

I dry fited the pit in the fuselage.

That's where I would like your advice to know if the placement is good.

Thank you for your answers.

Once again sorry for the not so good pictures.

If I have time, will do another UP tomorow.

Your 'pit placement looks good to me. If you look at the instruction sheet, you will find a gunsight template. that is to help you cut out the correct amount of plastic, so that the gunsight sits in the right location.

Hi Jamme,

I can understand you leave this WIP for some time.

Its hard work to build it properly.

Thanks to you I continued the @#$%& thing. :P

Anyway, I made a lot of pictures in the process.

I will post them soon on LSP to continue my WIP.

But first I have to make a photbucket -or similar- account

Cheers,

Peter

Jamme, I just found your WIP on Trumpeter's MiG-17. It's looking beautiful--I especially like how you've done the burnt metal of the jet engine, and the cockpit is a work of art. I built a 1/72 MiG-17 from Hasegawa almost 30 years ago, and I have fond memories of that little silver gem sitting on my bedroom bookcase!

I look forward to seeing how it turns out.
