mattlow
Hi Nick Engine and collector ring look fabulous. What technique did you use on the collector? By the way, you need to get a mod. to move this to works in progress. Matt

LSP_Kevin
Welcome to LSP Nick! I've seen your build on Britmodeller, and it's coming along very nicely. As per Matt's suggestion, I've moved your thread over here to Works in Progress. Kev
Nick Edwards
Hi Nick Engine and collector ring look fabulous. What technique did you use on the collector? By the way, you need to get a mod. to move this to works in progress. Matt I have developed a technique using 'Plastikote' copper spray paint that comes in a rattle can. This stuff takes about a week to harden properly and leaves a very bright metallic finish, it's much thicker (and more forgiving) than Alclad, so is self levelling and leaves a good surface with much less preparation needed. I then use Tamiya weathering pastels (Burnt Red/Blue/Oil) to tone down and work in the shading Regards Nick
Youngtiger1
Very nice work Nick. I'm thinking about getting that kit later this year. So, your build will be a great reference during my build. Keep up the good work. OH BTW, welcome to LSP. Mike
