  1. As part of some upcoming large scale, 3D-printed aircraft cockpit upgrade designs, very happy to announce a model of the World War Two-era "Set, Complete Radio 522-A" ("SCR-522-A") used by the US Army Air Corps, Royal Air Force and Royal Australian Air Force. In RAF and RAAF service, this radio set was known as the TR.5043. This model is available in 1/32 and 1/24 scales. Other scales are possible. Often referred to as a "Signal Corps Radio", the SCR-522-A was installed aboard many aircraft types. For example, the SCR-522-A was a conspicuous feature of the P-51D and P-51K Mustang fighters, installed behind the pilot's armored seat back and visible through the bubble canopy. Very soon, we will be releasing a highly detailed, 3D-printed cockpit for the classic Revell 1/32 scale Bristol Beaufighter (see posts below). 2. Hi everyone, I am working slowly on some 109 data plate decals for 1/32 and 1/24 (as my hands allow) - they are not to scale yet to each other - just a work-up but I just cannot find any photo in high enough resolution to be able to read the text in the solid wheel hub stencil box underneath the Achtung! Can anyone help? I have just written in some nonsense for now. Please ignore the small mistakes as 80% of this text will disappear forever in printing but I like doing the work, thanks. I also just do not know anything about the engine block WNr.s and have just copied some from museum photos but would be great to have an example from different 109 sub-types - any help would be appreciated thanks - email the help to aimsmodels1@gmail.com thanks J
  3. Hello every body Here is my first build here and i hope he will go to the end... My idea is to make the Italian G-14 WNr 464380 yellow one of Mjr. Mario Bellagambi. I will develop the history of this plane (the research part of the building is my favorite) later I would like to thanks Mr Jean-Claude Mermet, a one "O" nine master researcher who really help me by his knowledge during this buid. The base is of course the old but good Hasegawa G-14. Good because he is detailled and nice in shape, old because there are a lot of details to had. The most boring are the landing gear bay to detail. For begining the excellent cockpit from MDC with a bit of detailing (end MW 50 instrument on the left) and MDC dials, Airscale stencil and HGW seat belts (G-6 model). The base is Tamiya XF63 (next time i will use AK real i think) and highlight with XF66. The seat had before an aluminium coat. Brush paint with Prince August. Weathering is a mix of ... improvisations with oils, pigments, felt pen, color pencil, etc... Hope you enjoy it. I am open to any comment and correction. Next will be the fantastic Henri Daehne Prop :-) Best from France Sorry for the picture quality, I am not a good photographer... Matt
  4. AIMS JG 54 Vol.1 decals just a reminder! Please email me at aimsmodels1@gmail.com to order, thanks 1/32 - £12.00 + shipping
  5. Hi everyone, I am off another month yet but before my last surgery I got some new sets 3D printed. So to be clear I am not taking orders - I just thought you might like to see them. I also had started selling the decals from my 1/32 Bf 109 G-2 and G-4 conversion sets as stand alone items. So I wish you all a happy Christmas and look forward to hearing from you perhaps at the end of January. 24P001 Luftwaffe airfield set - 2x Type C Trestle and 2x Wheel Chocks £24.00 32P031 Luftwaffe airfield set - 2x Type C Trestle and 2x Wheel Chocks £18.00 32D029 Bf 109 G-2 (as found in set 32P015) £7.50 32D030 Bf 109 G-4 (as found in set 32P016) £7.50
  6. Hi everyone just an update from me, as always email me at aimsmodels1@gmil.com if interested. All resin work suspended for the time being due to my carpal tunnel flare up - 7 weeks now resting with no sign of improvement - nerve root compression test this Wednesday so will take it from there - I have really been in the wars this last 13 months but many have it much worse! Not available obviously but thought you might like a pic of my painted 32F005 (painted by László György) Sopwith Snipe bracing wires are now available Late War 109s vol 2 has just arrived
  7. Hello guys! It's been a while since I uploaded something in here. This is my first 1:32 109 in a long time, Hasegawa's G-6 with markings for Erich Hartmann's aircraft.
  8. AIMS Bf 109 Late War 109's Vol. 2 Hi everyone, hope you are all safe and well. As you all know there is a terrible shortage of Bf 109 decals on the market lol so with my 1/48 Late War 109 decal sheet selling out last week I thought I would get on with my Volume 2. After the Spitfire decals are printed then this lot will be sent off. Hope you like, I know some are available in kits, some have been available in kits - for better or worse but it is the selection I wanted regardless, perhaps there is still something there for you - I hope so. Best wishes, John
  9. Hi everyone, I hope you are all well. I have been very unwell myself and not able to do much but the with constant nausea I have needed to concentrate on something and so I have been slowly doing some decal options have been in the planning stage only for about 1 year. Well as you know I have a number of products in the pipeline, once I have successfully brought them to market I will be releasing a JG 54 1/32 decal sheet. I hope you like the options - I certainly enjoyed making them between running to the toilet haha. My grateful thanks to my good friend Delmar Davis for helping with selecting many of the options. Enjoy this 'work in Progress' and thanks for looking.
  10. New 1/32 figure on its way - AIMS 32F002 Hans Joachim Marseille - having a bite to eat in-between kicking our arses (speaking as an Englishman). Enjoy
  11. Here are some photos of my Airfix Bf 109E-3 in Franz von Werra's markings.

  13. Just finished this one. This was on the shelf of doom for quite a while. I had purchased the kit for quite cheap and, due to the shape issues of the kit, it ended up being the last Bf 109 in my kit stash, so I figured I would go ahead and build it. However, I managed to destroy the canopy/windscreen parts before completion and also started to be really annoyed by looking at the shape issues, so I just shelved it. I finally decided to use a vac canopy from my spares and modify it to fit. I also sanded down the huge sharp corners that come off the trailing edge of the wing root fairing, into the rear fuselage. The fuselage cross section still leaves a lot to be desired, but this did improve the overall look of the fuselage, even if only slightly. But, don't even get me started on shape of the nose! In any case, I was able to complete it by adding the canopy mentioned above, MM enamels, oil and pastel weathering. The main decals were from the kit, but the unit/number markings were from a few different sources in my spares and represent an aircraft flown by 1./JG 2 around the Battle of Britain. I also added a few bits from scratch in the somewhat strange looking cockpit. In my rush to finish it, I introduced plenty of problems on my own, but the goal was to just finish it and then decide what I'm going to do next. I would really like to get into the Multi-Engine GB, but not sure what I'm going to do next. Anyway, I'm calling this one done (and I'm also likely done with Trumpeter, spare a couple of kits I already own that are from their "A team", which has apparently disappeared). Thanks for looking, John
  14. With my small scale 109 99% finished and my group build entry a little stalled (waiting for a 3D printed part) I'm ready to start something new. I picked Hasegawa's Bf 109F, which was my second LSP kit ever bought ca.7 years ago, from my stash. Here's the project inventory: So what's the plan? I'm not going to build the 1000000th Marseille 109 but a quite interesting alternative: Red 2 from 8./JG 27 which has some really heavy mottling on the fuselage and wings. There's some pictures of the original and some profiles (not sure about copyright, so link only). Eagle Cals suggest a usual RLM74/75/76 scheme overpainted with RLM79 on the upperside and followed by heavy mottling with RLM80. Not your usual 109 Trop for sure! I've collected some aftermarket stuff for this build: - MG17 tips from Master - the MG FF barrels will be used on my 109E build. - Brassin exhausts, I hope they'll fit since they're meant for the Revell 109G-6 - CMK wheels, cheap (~4€) and a slight improvent over the kit parts - Aires cockpit, at first I wanted to go for scratch building the cockpit details but then there was one post in the LSP discussion indicating that this Aires set is one of the rare examples of good fit. I'll see.... That's the whole plan for now, building might start at the end of the week. So long Joachim
  15. This is representation of Erla-built Bf 109G-14 "Black 13" from15./JG5 at Kjevik, Norway in 1945. All A.M.U.R. Reaver sets, such as spinner & airscrew, cowling and oil cooler fairing with radiator mesh were used. The plane had late-war finish with several shades of RLM76 on lower surfaces and 75/82 on top.
  16. OK, my first new LSP model here for quite a while now, the Trumpeter 1:24 Bf 109G-6 (late version), graciously donated to me by our own Mark (dodgem37), thanks again, Mark, you're truly a good man. The ability to start from the beginning, and knowing that I already have some AM for the kit, has prompted me to throw caution to the wind and begin this, as one of my projected entries for the 2019 national convention, along with a few other choice selections.
  17. Hi everyone, well as many of you know I started a model in the summer with every intention of just enjoying modelling for myself but what always happens happened - I started thinking of products! It is the nature of the beast I guess but I really do want to crack on with the Revell bf 109 G-10 Erla and I have three new products at hand to help me along with the fantastic Barracuda items.I really need to set aside days that are for me, not AIMS otherwise I will never get anything built other than un-painted display models. I enjoyed painting the Aires cockpit - the fit caused problems and I still have large gaps in the canopy sill to work on but I was able to get the fuselage closed up fairly quickly. I wish I had not as when I decided I wanted a 'hatches and latches' set I now have lots of holes in the fuselage with no pre-installed interior detail so I will have to do the best I can. The upper cowl, whilst not perfectly addressing the width of the engine cowl does however trick the eye into thinking the cowl is much wider than it was, it isn't but the flatness of the resin part really helps together with the gun openings being further apart. Sadly after production was well underway I was informed that on Erla machines the gun opening is not straight cut at the back like on the U4 so I have rounded off mine a little and also made the cut outs for the weapons. Next up is post filling some of the interior areas and then onto laying in the PE hatch rims, all good fun!
  18. Hi everyone, a new 109 decal sheet coming in the new year for G-6 White 1, G-14 Double Chevron, G-14? red 2, Graf's G-6 'Special,' Black/Green? K-4 plus extra 202 victory badge for Graf (not a tulip machine - just wanted to make the marking) and also Black/green? '3' just as an extra in case someone wants to make the other known K-4 tulip machine with a stab flight number on it. Enjoy.
  19. New project will be the somwhat maligned Eduard 1/32 BF 109 E-4. Haven't decided on the markings yet but it iwll be a Battle of Britian era plane. Will be building basically OOB with just what Eduard provides. Which looks like quite a lot.
  20. Hi Everyone, the Late War Bf 10-9 decals recently arrived, £10.99 + shipping. email me if interested at aimsmodels1@gmail.com Anyone buying this decal sheet together with the photo-etch 'hatches and latches' and the Revell 'Erla upper cowl correction' will have 10% taken off the total. Thanks for reading. BTW the image of the decal sheet is an older version sorry - there is no JG 5 badge on the printed decal sheet.
  21. Hi everyone, available soon is my replacement upper cowl part with much flatter top and wider gun-troughs. You would not believe how much doing these two adjustments tricks the eye into thinking the whole engine cowl is much wider! This is what you could call a cost-effective compromise correction haha! £TBC
  22. Hi everyone my two new Bf 109 sets have just arrived, email me at aimsmodels1@gmail.com if interested. 32PE006 £5.50 + shipping, 32PE007 £9.00 + shipping
  23. Hi everyone, well still not made a model all year!!!!!! Every time I pick up a model I want to design a product instead!!!! Anyway CLEAR RESIN - its taking a while sorry - so long to de-mould and the person making them for me was away and so less the half the promised quantity materialised. Don't worry you will get a canopy if you paid for one - I won't let you down. In the mean time I got bored with Photo-Etch and wanted to do a decal sheet; as we all know there are not enough Bf 109 decal sheets available (lol) - I wanted to add to the problem with my own little collection which I will also do in 1/72 and 1/48 (sorry for using bad language) Anyway enjoy. Little tweaks to do here and there on the profiles but i am happy on the whole. Please note W Nr on White 7 and also Yellow 9 is fictitious but from the correct block for that factory. And yes I did all the correct dates underneath Muller's victory bars!
  24. Hi everyone - the plan to just enjoy making the Revell 1/32 Bf 109 G-10 Erla without thinking of products has failed and as a result two new products on their way and no modelling done haha! 32PE006 Revell Bf 109 G-10 Erla Gear bay update set £TBC (discovered the holes in the oleo leg housing were in the wrong place and well just had to fix it and add a few other bits to an otherwise excellent Revell gear bay! 32PE007 Hatches and latches Bf 109 F / G / K £TBC -
