  1. Here's my build, ironically it was the next on my bench just because I liked the scheme so much, but with the new GB about to start worked perfectly. No doubt I'll add some extras into the mix and have to snag a Revell late canopy (my second hand kit clear parts were MIA) Aaron
  2. After the pink panther I found this bird in the same book This set a flame to model it as the image is in colour and I have done a PRU blue bird yet. Having secured 2 more Revell IXc boxings I pulled one out and set about working out the best way forward. I then turned to our forums for more inspiration and help and discovered this thread and comments. Has anyone tried the Alleycat Spitfire PR.XI conversion?? So now
  3. As posted over on britmodeller Mr.Bobek from HGW has announced on his FB page there is some progress on A-20G The big change which has caused the delay is that it will be IM plastic kit instead of resin and it will contain all AMs possible to create in Czech republic (most probably PEs and resin stuff from Eduard + Wet transfers and seatbelts from HGW in one package) for reasonable price They need another year to finish this project Looking forward to it jan https://www.facebook.com/jan.bobek.96/posts/2469150143102264
  4. Another model goes to my shelf. This time, the design that appears at the competition quite rarely, namely the P-39 Airacobra. The model itself is pretty cool, but I've added Eduard plates, HGW straps, Master barrels and Eduard exhaust pipes. Markings painted from templates drawn by Mr. Decal and cut Maketar
  5. I know, I know! ANOTHER Tamy Corsair build! Forgive me for choosing a kit that is more than well represented on these boards but it is next on my list and I wanted to share my work here. I'm primarily a modeler of Messerschmitts and Focke-Wulfs so this is going to be new territory for me. Hopefully, I'll receive some help along the way and hopefully, the build journey will be of interest to at least some of you. Many of us grew up watching Baa Baa Black Sheep on TV and I was one of those kids. So I'm going to do one of Greg "Pappy" Boyington's many reputed mounts: Bu No. 17740 of VMF-214
  6. New build had some fun getting the covers to fit. Lots of messing around and trimming etc. Ordered some pe rudder pedals, extra instrument panel and resin control stick for back seat area. Have a nice selection of images of this plane in various states of decay/scrap/souvenirs so need to decide what level to work to. May well make a little dio.
  7. I think it is time to queue up my next LSP project. I want to get out of the 109/190 groove and try something different (for me anyway) and I've settled on a Luftwaffe jet fighter, the Me 262. My subject will be this aircraft... Lots of cool visual features on this aircraft.... the hard mottle on the tail... the blue and white checkers... the yellow numerals... the bold skull badge... so the painting and markings should be fun to do. Here is a profile by Tom Tullis that shows what the entire plane may have looked like... I'll be using the Tr
  8. Announced by Mr. Bobek on modelforum.cz today https://www.modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=515&t=61755&start=1095 it will be rebox of Dragon kit with wet transfers, fabric seatbelts, canopy masks (both sides), rivets set, PE (Eduard) and maybe Master barrels and Look instrument panel flaps will be coated with decals imitating fabric E-3 and E-4 versions will be included in package, however the first release will be focused on E-7 This should be available in the autumn of this year jan
  9. Time to start my tribute build project. Corsairs definitely seem popular lately Been awhile since I've done a prop so will try to do some justice to this kit. Like so many of us I built this kit as a teenager so when I had a choice of what to pick up I decided on this one. The intent isn't to be exact, my purpose is to recreate a childhood memory. My Uncle Dennis grew up in Akron Ohio by the Goodyear Airdock. He remembers seeing the corsairs flying over all the time. When he was about 8 he used to shoot his bow and arrow at them as they flew over lol. I expect this will be just a slightly dir
  10. Spotted Ass Ape (front ship) This ship had extra external lights so might be a good excuse for some fibre-optix/leds. Am being assembled, B17 brassin wheels, B17 armament set, HGW fabric belts. DN model mask set just ordered
  11. First fresh build for 2019. Just finishing off a P51 from the 15th FG 308th This is part 1 of a 2 ship build based up Piotr Forkasiewicz artwork for the eduard 1/48th G10 profipack. I recently picked up the Japo KG(J)6 109 book and it has several erla built machines which feature the red and black chequered defence band so a red stripe/red chequered build off was on. I haven't decided upon the exact plane just yet.

  13. HGW has released wet transfers set for P-51D with stencils and all markings included in recent Revell and Tamiya kits If you like to work with wet transfers as I do, its must have http://hgwmodels.cz/en/wet-transfers/720-p-51-dk-mustang-stencils-markings-132-232025.html I do not have any connection to HGW company, but if you think it belongs better to Vendors board, Mod’s feel free to move it there jan

  15. This is my first build over here. I'm building a Fly 1/32 Hurricane MkIIb in Russia during the winter. Here's my reference pic. I have the Miniart refueller kit in 1/35 to add a bit more to the dio and as per the photo. I started with the cockpit framework and encountered a fair bit of seamlines that took quite some effort to clean up. Took about an hour to get to the first stage. PE was added Then the resin seat And a few more bits of PE and we're ready for some paint
  16. Finished last year, just prior to Telford.
  17. I had it long time waiting till starting this wonderful kit..... the HANSA BRANDENBURG W.29 in scale 1/32 by Wingnut Wings. There is nothing unsaid about this amazing kit so that I do not want to loose time.... and start directly with the first pictures of it..... The engine.... I added some wire and replaced some parts with thin plastic pipes ..... and painted all in black / iron. The iron was polished aferwards before adding some oil paint, drybrushing and pigments to it ..... All interior parts got a primer with brown lifecolor, before making the wooden parts wi
  18. So a couple of weeks ago I ordered some HGW seat belts for my WnW Sopwith Pup (code 13058) but I haven't looked at them till today. This is what's in the sealed package: Is that it.....am I missing the seatbelts or is that what that piece of paper is on the front above the PE? I can't understand the instructions if that's all there is! Max the Confused (and possibly disappointed)
