  1. It really does look a nice kit and looks to build ok too judging by Mark’s build on the works in progress thread. I may be tempted by a twin seater.
  2. Yep. Though Mike is a Magician that get you to part with Cash on things you never knew you wanted or imagine you’d need. If he goes in to politics we’re all doomed. With MRP though check beforehand they have what you want. MRP supply can be tricky. He often puts orders in and advises so through the Facebook Group so you can order MRP that way. Even if he doesn’t have the paints you want though, it won’t be a wasted trip.
  3. £620 with delivery here in the UK with MJR Models Facebook Group. A shop I use regularly and being my ‘localish’ shop an hour up the road it’s where I get most of my stuff from.
  4. Whilst not one for display schemes I would like to do a Netherlands or Norwegian Air Force F-16 scheme. If this kit does cover those bases I maaaaaaay try and source one from the Far East if the prices isn’t extortionate. I’d be way more interested in a boxing that covers USAF Aggressor schemes, see, 4th post in and its already a wants thread.
  5. Given the price of their last F-16 kits I dread to think of the cost. If I remember right its the Academy plastic with some resin bits included.
  6. That does look immense. Still don’t have the space for one though.
  7. Haven’t had an email from Luckymodel for a long time come tho think of it. I used to like their promo codes. I wont be getting the big Lancaster for the same reason I didn’t get the HKM one. Nowhere to display it. I am awfully tempted by those P-47 kits though and have been for a long time.
  8. Only issue for me is since changing my password, despite ticking the ‘remember me’ box is it doesn’t keep me logged in, though that may well be something on my side of the Computer. It could have been a lot worse. Now about those ‘Man Pills’ are they offering a bulk deal? Asking for a Friend……
  9. There’s nothing in the instructions about fitting the kit gear. But there are these receptacles for the kit gear pegs on either side of the gear bay walls. So the kit gear will sit in rear of the large raised ribs on top of that small raised oblong, which should be easy to remove if the need arises. I’m not sure if this answers Pete’s concerns or not. I’ll bow to his knowledge of the F-16 seeing as he drove them.
  10. I’ll dig the instructions out later for the intake. See if they mention mounting the nose gear. There does appear to be some recessed cuts in the gear bay walls on either side. I’m maybe leaning towards gear up and plane on a stick as another option. I need to learn to paint pilot figures first. And find an appropriate Pilot with a JHMCS helmet.
  11. Engine, no engine, I’ll be buying it anyway. I prefer all hatches and panels closed myself, and a lot of the time the canopy too. If there’s an engine I’ll do what I do with the Tamiya kits, build as little of the engine as required to hang the Exhaust stubs and Prop off and slap the panels on. Same goes for gun bays. Doesn’t stop me marvelling at those who super detail though.
  12. Well if you’re printing that set in 1/32 I know I’ll be needing a minimum of 3 of these kits.
  13. I did buy those for some planned 1/48 builds using a combination of Eduard and Tamiya kits that never came to fruition. I did go check the site to see if you had them in 1/32 as soon as I saw what this kit was going to be and not seeing them figured you’d sold out. Didn’t realise you never did them in 1/32.
  14. Hadn’t thought about that to be honest but you do have a point there.
  15. That’s what I was hoping to see in this thread at some point!
  16. Well Sprue Brothers no longer ship to the UK so the GT Resin intake, whilst a little cheaper isn’t an option, add shipping and import taxes the costs would be nearly the same as the KASL one if Sprue were to start shipping here again. Plus I know KASL Casting quality to always be spot on.
  17. I think the last shrink wrapped kit I got here in the UK was an Airfix kit in the late 80’s when the built kit was the box top box art. None of the stuff from any of the manufacturers I’ve sourced from abroad has been shrink wrapped.
  18. A quick offering up of the intake to the kit parts as I was throwing them in the box. Nothing has been trimmed up here. But it mates to the kit part beautifully. Now shrinkage in the width where it meets the heat bay walls of the kit part which would be my main concern. Should not have worried. Now come on KASL and bring out the stuff needed for the Lightweight Gear and other bits to make the Tamiya Kit and Aggressor without having to track down the Thunderbirds kit.
  19. I haven’t used one for the Tamiya kit but have for the Academy kit. Fit was fine. This is the on for Tamiya.
  20. My set just arrived. If you’re thinking of getting one, I highly recommend it. Casting is up to the usual high KASL standards. I have not checked fit against the kit as yet, but never had an issue with their stuff before. The only way it could be better is if it were full length. Got them direct from KASL via their eBay store. Even better it evaded Customs so no charges.
  21. Given the research that WNW put in to their kits and decal schemes and my liking of all things Spitfire I know I’ll be getting one and I am very very glad now I didn’t pull the trigger on the Revell kit with all the Barracuda Resin fixes. That’s me off to empty that particular Hannants shopping basket. Now what to spend my months Pocket money on this month. Hmmm.
  22. Seems I signed up for a Restock reminder for the kit on jp.1999. Had an email the other day saying they expect it Mid-December.
