  1. Personally, I absolutely can't handle acrylics at all, either they won't move through my airbrush at all or they are way to thin. No clue what I'm doing wrong. What I noticed recently, I have some problems every now and then with paint, whicht "sags" down in my airbrush: Sometimes I have more thinner on top of the container and more pigment on the bottom, no matter how carefully I mix them. No idea what I'm doing wrong here, to...
  2. Unfortunately not, 43+93 was a Luftwaffe aircraft. Let's see, I still have a Hasegawa-Starfighter-sheet here, I surely can canabalize the one or other item from this
  3. I'm also following this with quite some interest, as this one is the next on my list, I'm just waiting for the right decals to come. Amazing, that there is not a single set of decals for a german navy Tornado around
  4. Well, he put the kit up again, cos he didn't sell it the first time. Let's see, how far the price will drop, probably it will reach a level, that makes it interesting, even though its a vac. Do we construct models, or do we just put them together like a numbered puzzle?
  5. No pain, no glory! Well, if there is an alternative around, then I'll save the money, there's still enough work to do Thanks for your answers.
  6. Looking for something different, I ran across that ID Models vacu kit at Ebay. I'm considering to buy it, if the price keeps reasonable, but I don't know, if it is worth the money. Has someone experiences with that kit? I know it is a vacu, so not too much to expect there but a lot of work, but how accurate is it shapewise?
  7. It has been said before, but I can't resist: Absolutely stunning model!
  8. A very nice job! Even though I'm not so much into props, I really like it.
  9. To get the weight down to scale, one needs to thin out the material to scale thickness. I remember the aircraft skin to be made from about 1.5 to 2 mm aluminium sheet. If someone thins it down to scale thickness that would be about 0.047 to 0.063 mm "thick". So I wish you good look in constructing your next model from the kind of aluminium foil I use to wrap up my butterbread every day
  10. I just had one try with Maskol yet, on some racecar rims. Had to put it aside for quite some time and could not remove the Maskole before about 3 monts later and had pretty much of a problem, as it became pretty hard, so that might be the reason behind.
