  1. Agree, the HB F-84 E/G is a fantastic.......Looks good in the case/ out of the box. Could it be improved, sure.... but to each their own. The kit price is reasonable by todays standards and it is not a million parts. If an F-84F/ RF-84 were to be produced at the same level/ price point as the current F-84E/G, I would be in for a couple of each. Rob
  2. The one I'm looking at is a Mitsubishi build......inside the cowl and flaps Aotake?.....and thanks all!
  3. Off hand does any one know if mid/ late war A6M5s had only aotake applied to wheel wells/ cowl interior? I ask only as I have seen some black and white wartime photos and the parts of the gear bay that can be seen appear as silver/natural metal or possibly the same grey that was applied to the lower surfaces of the aircraft......Perhaps I'm seeing what I want to see.....lol Thanks
  4. Good stuff! Bigg Tim of bnb resin printed my copy. It can be made to work (as illustrated above) and looks a lot better than the kit offering. Looking forward to your progress. Rob
  5. The Texas ang f-4e had a non standard grey camo....light ghost and a dark grey (gunship?).......I am looking for the camo pattern.......it is on the fuesalge.....does it extend onto the wings?....
  6. All, I was looking into building Pengie IV ship 41-9718. Techmod has a decal for this aircraft and it is depicted in Dark grey/ Dark green over sky.....pretty cool right? I was looking for any additional pics I could find to try to determine shade of green/grey and I came across Pengine IV in the all dark blue scheme. I knew the M variant was painted that way but was unaware of the D getting the same paint......Found this in a forum: "The article that appeared in the Summer, 1976 issue of IPMS/USA Quarterly Vol. 11, No. 4 has a summation of Mr. Gladych's military service. And it has an excerpt from the December 28, 1944 issue of the "Stars and Stripes" that explains why he had a hatred for Nazi's. Mr. Schaaf states that the model of "Pengie V" was built towards the end of the war. He also states: "Pengie IV, aircraft number 41-9718, is the most interesting. The upper surface is MIDNIGHT BLUE, not black as has commonly been reported for the 61st Fighter Squadron." There are various profiles out there of the dark blue D.....some with invasion stripes and some without..........Does anyone have any additional information on the dark blue D? Given the time frame and use of English paint stocks......I can buy the possibility of dark blue on the D......I was just hoping someone in the forum had something more definitive. Thanks Rob
  7. I have a TBM close to paint (a shelf of doom rescue). I was wondering about the paint scheme after seeing an Eaglestrike decal that shows a tbm (VT 83 I think) with non spec sea blue all the way around and gloss sea blue upper wings, horizontals, upper nose/ fuselage. I can buy most of it but I have never seen non spec blue on the lower surfaces, except the full gloss sea blue scheme. Has anyone else come across a non spec blue TBM? Thanks
  8. Is this the same bunch that was doing a Dehaviland Hornet?
  9. My nose delivered today.....Very nice/ very well done! It may take some tlc to get it on .......Let's face it, what part of the A-26 doesn't need some tlc?. Rob
  10. The parts were bagged up (like from a separate kit). They were in a H I picked up at a show. Rob
  11. I picked up a b-25H and it had a set clear parts for the J (some minor work done)........the entire forward nose, boxes, floor, guns and ammo feeds were all in clear plastic.....is that normal? On a seperate note, i kinda wish it was the 8 gun nose.
  12. I know wolfpack did a set but I cannot seem to run one down. Is there another set out there that will upgrade the tamiya kit? Thanks!
  13. I know it has issues....... and I know zip about 3D printing.........that said i came across a file (link below from cultman 3d) and was wondering how difficult it is to go from 1/48 to 1/32? https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/1-48-invader-8-gun-nose-correction-set Thanks, Rob
  14. 1/24......Corsair, Me 262, P40e or later, F-86f
  15. Your product is fantastic! I have a bunch of your sets. I wondering if you are considering.... Haseagwa 1/32 A-4/TA-4/OA-4 Trumpeter A-4s Trumpeter A-7E/D Trumpeter F-100C/D/F Trumpeter F8E/J Revell EuroFighter (Typhoon)
  16. I wish there was an injection molded/ 3d printed conversion for the F-86H. The resin conversion, if you can find it, is all there is and it presents a challenge. The camo test bird.....If there are 32nd decals out there, that would work. Rob
  17. Did any USAF F-86Fs survive long enough to get painted in SEA or perhaps Air Defence Grey? I know about the export birds, but was wondering specifically about the USAF. Thanks Rob
  18. Wow throw in some flaps and wheel well inserts and you will have it. really sharp! Rob
  19. Fantasy Printshop has 5 Euro Decal F-100 sheets. I've been holding out for the 3D printed interior. Rob
  20. That part is done. Waiting for the rest lol.
  21. Good eve all, i have a few stuka questions..... Were brass barrels for the twin mg and anti-tank guns ever produced? We're any other parts produced- flame dampeners, wing cannons with flash suppressors ( D8 conversion)....New wheels/ reshaped undercarriage Will the red fox 3d printed parts for ju 87b- 2 (cockpit) work for for the d/g.....I'm guessing no. Thanks all
  22. Are there any other options besides G-Factor? I cannot seem to find a G-Factor set. The SAC stuff will not work.....I have found white metal to be very soft. To that end are there any F-18F brass gear sets? Thanks Rob
