  1. I've chosen a different scheme, so don't need them anymore, but thanks for remembering.
  2. Intake seams now worked out to my satisfaction (finally), but still in need of another light coat of MRP Neutral Grey 43. Should I ever get around to doing the E, I’ll make it a point to paint the screens first, then assemble the intake parts, correct the seams and then glue them in place, which is what I should have done this time.
  3. Bomb now assembled and spritzed with MRP OD 41. Still some minor errors to correct, but I assumed that might happen. So, the OD at this point, basically serves to highlight the errors to be repaired, or at least that’s the story I’m sticking with.
  4. Nice scheme, same one I chose for my own George.
  5. Nothing specific to the aircraft in question, but cool anyway. 90th Attack Squadron
  6. Right, the description of the cover image states 3rd bomb group, 90th bomber squadron. I'd try searching for the 3rd bomb group, and see where that leads you. I always fancied doing that one as well, but in 1:48 scale.
  7. LSP used to get review kits from HLJ on a regular basis, but they eventually changed the game and we no longer get those samples. As to reliability, yes, they can be OK to order from.
  8. The Dragonfly would be a great one. I'd have to go with a 1:24 Fokker D.VII
  9. Thanks, Kev. Some cool models there. I think the first and second photos of the British Phantom are duplicated though.
  10. Order placed. Thanks, fellas.
  11. For some belligerent paints, I find that Testors Easy Lift-Off works pretty well.
  12. Just arrived today, review samples from Casemate.
  13. Excellent. Thanks, fellas. They have some 1:32 P-40 stuff that I'm interested in.
  14. Anybody ever order from these folks? Thanks a bunch,
  15. For me, the single biggest problem with spreadsheets and databases, is keeping them updated. Years ago I started a spreadsheet for my book collection, amassing nearly 2,000 entries before I eventually neglected to keep it up-to-date with new acquisitions and sales, so now that list is more or less useless to me. As to corruption or loss of a drive, I have multiple drives that serve as data redundancy, so that was never really an issue for me.
  16. Interesting question re: finances and choices. My purchasing choices seem as random as my thought process, which is not good at all, and I seldom load up on AM for the item, and for two reasons; money issues, and the question of when, if ever, I’ll actually get to that specific project. So basically, I buy the kit, throw it in with the already stupidly large stash, then chase down AM whenever I’m actually prepared to start on it.
  17. As to the next release (aside from the Bf 109K-4), I have no earthly idea what they'll be doing. As to a general feeling that it would naturally pertain to New Zealand in some way, I have no idea why that thought is out there. What I'd think would make sense from them, is a brand new F6F, Ki-43, MiG-15, F-86, or F9F.
  18. Busy at work on a Cylon Raider?
  19. Looks cool, and such a classic kit too. I like it.
  20. Interesting aircraft, to be sure, but I suspect one that I will not be buying.
  21. Yep, I need it done by June, so I intend to keep cranking on it.
  22. Getting closer. The bottom seams, which I had thought to be near flawless, are really not, as the primer reveals. I'm guessing that one or possibly two more treatments will get me where I need to be though.
  23. Adding the kit IP decals to the unmodified IP was probably unwise, but after numerous coats of Solvaset, it actually looks OK. IP on the real deal is rather bland and colorless anyway, so I think I can live with this.
