I hate to sound like a negative Nancy here, and I wish the best of luck for you guys, but my spidey sense is tingling. Look at his items sold, the only plastic kits he sells is the 1/32 F4U-4. Nothing else. Where is he getting them from, and how is he getting so many, when large hobby resellers are only getting a few at a time? How is a small time guy in China getting so many kits, and why would he take a loss on so many. I would guess that wholesale price is going to be at least $85. There is no way Tamiya is going to discount such a hot release. This really does not make sense guys. I hope you get what you ordered, but I would not take the bet even on $35. Does this seller and his price really make any sense? -
I have spent a couple nights detail painting, weathering, and finally...tonight I did the rigging. It took me two solid hours to glue up 26 pieces of floppy, stretchy, noodles. It drove me crazy at times, and I even combined a few swear words for some new combinations that even sailors have not heard before. But alas, I am ready to assemble the cockpit....just not tonight. My eyes need a good rest.

No pictures today, but spent about three hours last night working on applying decals and detail painting the interior, i also added a wash to half the pieces giving them a little age. I still have a bit more detailing before I start assembling the interior, hopefully I will a few pictures tonight.

Very nicely done! I especially like the grubby hands marks near the cockpits. The painting on the pilots is very realistic.

I'm not done yet, but did finish spaying the camo tonight.

I have used Vellejo Metal Air colors, their "White Aluminum" is a good silver dope look, not too shiny, but fine particles. Tamiya Flat Aluminum is horrible, looks like an Ed Roth metal flake paint job.

I got my Rumpler C.IV early today, box was demolished crushed on every corner so bad that I worried the plastic inside was broken, but it was not. I did have to pull the box apart to get the sprues out, but they were ok. Decals and instructions were also ok. They even threw in a book on the Hisso...which they are now twisting my arm to buy one. I wished I took advantage of some earlier kits available, as I procrastinated so long there were only two kits available at the end. Nevertheless, I have three kits now and three on the way. -

I had to look it up myself Ar·a·bic nu·mer·al noun plural noun: Arabic numerals any of the numerals 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. Arabic numerals reached western Europe through Arabia, replacing Roman numerals, by about AD 1200, but probably originated in India. -

Put down a coat of RLM76 tonight, more colors to follow, 5 more to be exact. You can see most of them hanging out in the background.

Very nice, you make a good case for using paint masks instead of decals, I usually have the same luck with decals.

I did a test on the underside of the floorboards, yellow and orange clear brushed on. I think Brian is right, orange is a better "varnish", of course...airbrushing a thinned mixture should leave a little more subtle effect.
