Those tie downs are the worst part of the kit imho.

Thanks mate. Nice kit to build. If I recall, I didn't use any filler at all. I did used the Clear prop brass add on parts for the pitot tubes and gun barrels.

My BPK 1/72 E-7 Wedgetail WIP. Overall around 18" long. Kit consists of plastic, 3D printed, and PE parts, the sensors on the tail are 3D printed parts, the rest is plastic. Fin/vertical stabaliser needed modification as per instructions, forward section was replaced as seen by lightly sanded area.

Confirmed as fatal. RIP Sir.

Just awaiting rotors to complete.

The "Eddie" decal looks like it just needs slightly rotating forwards - top of fin forward, front lower fin down.

Happy Birthday Dennis

My Airfix 1/48 Buccaneer done up as a Marinefleiger Buccaneer. Actually an almost what was, as the Germans wanted the Bucc', but got the F-104 instead

Almost finished. Just requires armament

And £50 just for the decal sheet. Which is incorrect btw. the roundel on the fin is too small, the white of the roundel should come over the hump at the base of the fin, it doesn't. In fact none of the decals I have seen fit correctly.

The Phuccaneer gets its warpaint and ID.

I remember seeing a video of a Lightning on the range from RAF Valley. The pitot could clearly be seen at the botoom of the screen. The missile he just fired proceeded to break up in front of the jet, the pilot pulled up to miss the debris and the pitot could not be seen on the screen. It re appeared when G was decreased lol.

After my Phixen FAW.2 I decided on another whif project and came up with...... Using the old Airfix Buccaneer kit and some F-4J wings. This will be finished in RAF grey/green wraparound scheme.

I am an ex Armourer, I worked on Hunters F.6, FGA.9 and T.7's at RAF Brawdy in the early 80's. The doors just aft of the intakes were spring loaded. The ground crews used them to secure canvas FOD covers in place with bungee's.

Hydraulic lines on port side. The mass of pipes along the fuselage side is one piece moulding that you attatch to the fuselage. then there's 4 pieces that connect to those bracket things over the pipes. down the gear strut there is another single piece, then a smaller single piece at the gearleg end. Looks great on the model. the control rods on stbd side are present as seperate parts as well. Oh and my earlier comment regarding the rotorhead canted to port, well yes it is and ICM have faithfully reproduced it.
