  1. Maxim, Drop me an email if you need something from the AMS line - bnbresindesign@gmail.com Tim
  2. That's lame, John. They can't just delete categories. I'd contact your regional IPMS rep, and lodge a complaint.
  3. Besides, Trumpeter is China based, and we all know how much China pays attention to things like copyright infringement, or even outright theft. I know if I were developing a kit for production, the last place I would have it molded is China.....
  4. +1. I did buy the 12k machine, but only because I got a screaming deal by pre-ordering it, plus a free wash-n-cure station, AND free hi-speed resin, all for about 120 bucks more than I paid for my old machine 4 years ago. Just like Kev said, I bought it more for the print area size than than the resolution.
  5. My current resin printer is about 4 years old, and has a print area of about 5"x3"x6" tall. It's been good enough for most 1:32 model aircraft parts, but some larger items have been tough to chop up and print in sections. A prop spinner would work very well on a small printer like this, and I have done many spinners on mine. The new one I recently pre-ordered has a print area about 10"x6"x12" tall, and much higher resolution. If you want to eventually print entire kits, I would recommend that type of print area. They can be purchased for 500-1000 USD, depending on resolution, speed, and and other features. Hope that helps! Tim
  6. The funny thing is, they probably had to have been making it long before the accident occurred, right?
  7. Yep, I have that conversion available.
  8. I am curious about this, as I know very little about A-4s, but Harold of AMS was a huge fan of them and made lots of conversions and correction sets for them. The only nose he ever made, that I know of, was the one he included in the A-4C conversion. How does the A-4C nose differ from the other versions? Would the C nose I have be of any use in correcting the problems with the kit noses? Tim
  9. I've used gun blue solution that you can buy at the sporting good store with pretty good results.
  10. That is truly awful, Neo. I'm just I'm just glad your family is all right.
  11. I'll have to check them out and see if I'm in for some stiff competition!!
  12. That is exceptionally well done!!
  13. Looks like some pretty good "playing around" if you ask me, Peter!! I understand what you mean, though. It's kind of funny how making a computer model of something always makes it look more complete and accurate than it may actually be. We deal with that in the architecture world all the time. Using current 3D modeling software always fools the clients into thinking that the design is "almost done" because it looks so crisp and thorough, even though it's not even close yet!! So you're going to be done next week, right? Tim
  14. Does the bird crap come with the decals?
  15. For my money, Master Model has always been my favorite supplier of metal parts. I have NEVER been unhappy with their product. http://www.master-model.pl/category/air-master-132
  16. Here's an interesting twist - my wife works for an aircraft manufacturer that attends EAA in Oshkosh, WI every year. Since NATS in Madison next year is earlier than this year (July 17-20) NATS will occur just before EAA. We may be able to drive a trailer of their equipment over there for them and actually get PAID to go to NATS!!! We'd drive to Oshkosh, drop it off, rent a car to drive down to Madison, then fly home after. If that works out, then I'm totally going for 100% certain.
  17. It's finally ready! Here is a link to the instructions, please email me if you want one at bnbresindesign@gmail.com. Cost is 22 USD plus shipping. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1M9pMx27GIi-XLGdyY2gBcb9uO1UG0zHs/view?usp=sharing Please allow a week or so for me to get everything cast and shipped (some of these parts are very tough to do!). Teaser photo:
  18. Ok, now you must explain.... That would be awesome, Kev! Both Kevins at the same NATS? Yes, I am planning to go, especially given that I had to scuttle my plans this year. Remains to be seen whether I will drive 27 hours or fly. As for a group build, probably not. I'll be lucky if I finish anything at all. However, I MAY (I said MAY) elect to do the LSP shirt thing again if there are enough takers. No promises, cuz that's a crap load of work.
  19. As most of you know, I've had printed WW2 US Carrier decks available for some time in 1:32. I recently tried a very expensive experiment, and used one of the 3D masters that I made for my own use to make a mold, and I've successfully cast a resin copy of it. So, if that is of interest to any of you, I'm willing to offer them as a special order item only. Here she is: Each base will come unpainted in gray resin, and will include enough brass PE strips from Tom's Modelworks to complete the kit. This thing is 13" x 13" (330mm x 330mm) and about 1/4" (6.35mm) thick, so it will not fit in a pressure pot. As a result, there may be some small bubbles in the surface, but a coat of paint or primer will likely fill them up (you can see them in the previous pic. I've also added an additional tie-down channel to one end so multiple bases can be linked end-to-end to form a single long base if you like. So, here's the rub - due to the cost of materials, I will not be keeping any of these in stock. I'll make them to order, and I'll have to charge 55 bucks plus shipping for each one in order to cover my cost and make a little for my effort. Shipping to the continental US should run about 12 bucks for one base. It's a lot, I know, but I kind of did it as an experiment, and figured someone out there might want one. So, let me know, and thanks! Catalog has been updated - (outdated link removed) Tim bnbresindesign@gmail.com
  20. I'm already doing some preliminary planning for Madison, since I couldn't go this year. I have to plan a year ahead or I won't be able to afford it again! Especially since I'm probably road tripping there, 27 hours one way.
  21. Never will either, especially the northwest. The best we can ever hope for is Vegas again. Maybe, MAYBE somewhere in Californica someday, but highly doubtful.
  22. Wow, Chuck! I've already seen this, but upon seeing it again, I am just as impressed as I was the first time.
