  1. Dave, I have built both. I enjoyed each, but the Hasegawa offering has a more accurate overall outline when they sit side by side. It is simplified, however, and can benefit from AM for sure, especially the engine. The Trumpeter Jug has lots more detail, but most of it is more trouble than it is worth. I left most of it out. You really can't go wrong with either one, though. Both of mine are floating around here on LSP, but for some reason I can't get the links to copy into this post.
  2. Thanks Brian. Coming from you, that is quite a compliment. I've been following "Lady Lil" with interest.
  3. Kev, Here are some more photos. My name is Tory Bishop. Thanks again.
  4. Thanks very much for the kind words. Kev, I'd be honored if you published it on the site. I'll post some more pics later today.
  5. Here is the Trumpeter kit with Zotz decals and a lot of Reynolds Wrap. Brian is right...foiling is perversely fun.
  6. Thanks guys. And Harold, that is your cockpit set inside it...
  7. Outstanding work. Great photos too!
  8. Hi Tim. These tracks were actually pretty easy to use. I know a lot of people balk at single links, so these are a nice compromise between realism and ease of assembly. I don't really mind either way, at least on the big vehicles where the single links are easier to handle. Both types are vastly superior to the old vinyl tracks.
  9. Thanks. The Yellow Wings decals are terrific.
  10. Thanks very much. This is the third one I've done, all as '50s era USAF trainers. No more!
  11. Thanks guys. I appreciate the kind words.
  12. Every now and then one just has to try something else. DML Tiger I with zimmerit.
  13. This one has sentimental value as I have a picture of my dad standing in front of this plane when he was in pilot training in 1958 at Laredo AFB. Thanks for looking.
  14. I notice there have been several great builds of this model posted recently. This is my effort at the Eduard kit, pretty much OOB.
  15. Hi guys. It's been forever since I posted anything, but the great work on this site always inspires me. Here is Trumpeter's early Wildcat built pretty much OOB with Yellow Wings decals.
  16. There is a lengthy discussion of this issue over on Modeling Madness. I can't tell you that there is anything useful there, but it is entertaining. http://s3.zetaboards.com/readersforum/topic/7241985/1/
  17. Great effort Jerry. It looks spectacular.
