  1. Not yet, I’m still a ways off where I need to be. I promised myself a whole new wardrobe when I get to that target. In the meantime, my wardrobe now consist solely of adjustable sportswear.
  2. To bring the topic tenuously back to LSPs. When I hit my weight target, I’ve a plan to go and do this.Utter Nutter flight. A bit of 1:1 scale action with a friend of a friend.
  3. Totally off modelling topics here. As the lockdown in the UK really but during the summer of 2020. I found myself at the heaviest I’ve ever weighed in. A combination of laziness, gluttony, and depression was taking a firm grip on my health. After a very blunt and stark warning from my Doc’ of “continue like this and you’ll die”, I knew drastic action was needed. So, fitness coach hired. Nutritional expertise sought. Gym (while it was open) joined. Much soul searching, dietary habits changed, and very tentative steps taken on the treadmill and on the streets. Fast forward from the summer to now, I have now hit a milestone of 100lb in body fat lost. It’s a monumental amount of weight shifted, and I just wanted to shout it from the rooftops because I’m so stoked about it.
  4. The Kinetic boxing is still available, and more notably, cheaper then the Revell. More decal options too.
  5. Oh sweet Jesus, my poor wallet. Mrs Stokeypete may just end up divorcing me for the excess count of F-16’s on the shelves. I’m up to 4 so far. In my defence, they’re all colourful ones though rather than plain old grey.
  6. Link to a lovely build of the sky streak. The Learjet is a future release. Not a kit that is ready and for sale now.
  7. I’ve used it to brush paint pilot figures, but never anything substantial in size. I went straight from the bottle. It does start to dry quite quickly, so maybe worth putting a drop of something to retard the curing process to allow you more time to work.
  8. Fantastic news. Thank you for the assist in getting them here. Pm me when you need some money for the post costs.
  9. I continue to be amazed by what you’re building here Pete. Bravo sir
  10. That would allow to model a big piece my childhood in large scale. I WANT ONE!
  11. I’ll still use my masking set. I couldn’t even begin to comprehend how I’d do the masking job manually, and with the same accuracy of machine cut masks.
  12. It must be an Italian thing. When I was photographing weddings, supplying clients with albums and artwork. I used Graphistudio, an company based in Arba, northern Italy. I visited their learning centre at Castello Ceconi, and their printing facility. The hand made attention to detail, and the HD printing capabilities they have are astonishing.
  13. Outstanding sir! It’s the first time I’ve seen anything from Jetmads finished, and you’ve created a fantastic looking, and unique piece.
  14. That’s perfect, thanks for the heads up. I guess there’ll be a race to be the first one to have a Viggen on there too.
  15. Putting the paint woes to one side so I don’t totally hijack the original thread content, would I need to join IPMS to be allowed to display on the LSP SIG table? I’d also be interested in helping out if there’s something useful that I could bring to the party.
  16. Thanks for all the tips fellas, it’s spurred me on to attempt the recovery job. I’ll be clearing the decks in order to get it done ASAP. I’d love for it to be on the table at Telford.
  17. Thanks Iain, the paint drying explanation is probably the most favourable one. Several deep breaths have been taken, it was the only thing to spare my rage and launching it against a wall. It’s a good job I’ve go Mrs StokeyPete sat here in the office to talk some sense into me. It will still grace the tables if I can make it happen.
  18. Up until a few minutes ago, I was excited at the prospect. Then I took it down from the shelf to look at. Imagine my horror to have discovered this.... I’ve never had paint do this before, EVER. I’ve been wracking my brains to figure out what might have happened. I fear it was my use of Mr hobby aqueous for the blue, mixed with Tamiya gloss black to produce the different shades of blue for the feathers. I can only suspect that there’s a paint compatibility issue that’s caused the shrinkage and subsequent cracking. I’m now trying to work out how i can touch this up without having to go down the route of drastic action.
  19. What would I need to do if I wanted to display something on the table? I quite like the idea of bringing my HAF ‘Zeus’ Viper to show off. I’ve never put anything for public display before.
  20. Gotta say, I’m a bit more convinced by the look of that set than I have been by others. Looks good.
  21. Bloody good news. The insignia and serials will look brilliant painted on vs massive decals.
  22. Yup! A collective reaction there I suspect
  23. Thanks for organising and ordering them, I’ll PayPal money over to you as soon as I know where to send it.
