Hi All,

Here's my latest effort, the Combat Models 1/32 vac-form Skyraider converted to a Royal Navy AEW.1

The radome and hump behind the cockpit were vac-formed and the finlets are plasticard. This is not a great kit, but is the only one in town in 1/32 scale as the Panther Productions model is no longer available.

Hope you like it.

Regards,

Glenn

Great looking, you did a nice job. I love all the Skyraiders, I have to do one of those my self. How did you mold the rador dome under the plane?

Hi John,

The radome was carved from balsa wood and split in half vertically, then vac-formed.

I just love aeroplanes with goiters.

There was one on an Avenger at one time.

Heck, I'm still in awe of the idea that any of these heavy contraptions can actually get off the ground and fly in the first place. :)

By the way, that is a very well done vacuform model. Good work!

Glenn, you just did the kit justice, it's a very nice model, congrats.
