Really beautiful work! I've been away for a bit, so I'm just now catching up with your build. Your work looks pretty flawless to me and I'm definitely going to be following your build closely. It's so great to see another modeler giving these IMCTH kits a try; they are well worth the effort in that they look so impressive when they are done. Best of luck as you proceed. Hi Chris, This is really outstanding work. You can be very proud of your accomplishment here. The engine bearers and engine mounting is one of the most difficult parts of this build; I wish my work looked half as good as yours. And, yes, the cooling piping is a very tough item. I ended up replacing the kit supplied solder with solder in a couple of different sizes to match my research photos. Also, the replacement stuff is much more pliable and easy to work with. Can't wait to see your work on the canopy framing. John

Its definitely starting to look like an airplane! Honestly, Peter, I think you may be the most persistent modeler I know. It truly takes a dedicated soul to take a kit like this and turn it into a real eye-turner. Congratulations on some truly beautiful and eye catching work. Awesome work, Peter. And, yet, surely this is a labor of love at this point... and I'm sure it feels a lot like you are getting no love in return from the Owl. It's so tough to persevere when a kit gets like this. I admire both your craft and your persistence. For what it's worth, she's going to be a showstopper. Are you planning on doing a mottled finish or one with thin squiggly lines all over? Either way, I can't wait to see it finished and in the book. Best of luck with the remainder, John

It would truly be amazing, Peter, and I would go for that double build in a heartbeat, but I doubt if IMCTH has any plans in that direction. I will be doing a double build of the Shinden, which they did put out recently along with the Zoukei-Mura kit. Should be a lot of fun. Just have to finish off the Corsair first. Would love to see this build in the flesh; what a stunner! John

Hi Phil, Mine is in a holding pattern right now. Other priorities got in the way for a while, but I'm planning on making a "start" to finish it in the next couple of weeks. Many thanks to both you and Dave for the fine suggestions on the painting process for the Corsair. John
