Tallyho
I chose this kit for it's simplicity and the fact it doesn't require the painting skills I don't yet have, although I may attempt to change some of the colors, and add a few permitted details. BTW, if anyone know's where I can find a review/build of this kit I'd appreciate the heads-up.
DaveJ
This should be fun! I remember drooling over that kit as a kid but not being able to afford it.... Welcome to the GB!

Spads57
Fred, Great choice.Monogram's P-51 is the only P-51 in 1/32 scale I've built, good kit but a rotten build on my part.D*#& those little gluey fingerprint and smeared paint.I think maybe my skills have improved since that build, just maybe.Enough with the childhood flashback, good luck with your project.Keep us posted. johng
I've still got those oxygen cylinders from the kit I built back in the early 60's. Painted them orange for some reason. I remember very little about this kit but am fairly sure mine wasn't a motorized version.
MikeMaben
Hey cool Fred I got that model for Chistmas 1961 and started building it right away though it looked way over my head my Dad said "Just do what the instructions say". Well I did and mine worked fine too. ...until my sister sat on it

Loic
Wow, phantom builds are for people capable of clean work like you are. I could never ever build such a model. Interesting to see this kit has the wheel well housing structure "right"... or at least not wrong. Congrats, Loic
