Allok
Looks like you guys are having so much fun I couldn't resist joining in. The original box is not in the best shape. The kit is O.k, only a few bits missing.
Allok
Thirty minutes later; This only a rough test fit. The fit is shocking BTW.

ruzlkampf
I LIKE it!!! Never even seen this kit in any stores. How cool is this?! Kinda like a 'transformers' kit that can be 're-animated' back into the box,....AFTER you're DONE with it?!! hah hah Kiwi markings are going to be the bomb. I couldn't find any pics of one in any of my books, so I'm gonna have to search tonight before going to bed. I gotta see what this is going to look like. Unique subject and markings, Allok....can't wait to see how it progresses. Looks like it's going to be a blast to play around with! More pics, more pics. Allok
I bought this kit off Ebay a while ago and regretted it the moment I opened the box. I've never heard of the "Code Red" Tv series but this kit is one of a set of three. The other two were the Chiefs car and a van. Apparently, this was designed to be motorised and seems to be a simplified version of the Revell UH-1 kit. Recognise the Dude on the right? Allok
After cleaning off about half a kilo of flash, the fit was decidedly better. There is still a fairly nasty join along the top of the cabin but seeing as this is a Revell kit... Putty! Can't wait to squirt some paint on it. ruzlkampf
Whoohoo! I see lots of potential here. It sure is a kick to play around with kits like this. Just a fun time to see what it'll morph into. Cool... Did a quick search of Kiwi UH-1H's and read where there are 14 or so in 3rd Sq. at some base I couldn't pronounce. Guess they're being phased out soon? Looks like they're painted in a low-viz grey scheme at present. Are you going to go that route, or paint it an earlier green scheme? Can't wait to see how ya pull off the markings! Russ
Allok
I intend to do this one in the green scheme. Pretty boring, I'm afraid. I've scaled up some 1/48-scale decals. Don't get too excited, Russ. I'm just going to glue this one together and paint it. This is the "Box stock derby", after all. It won't look as cool as your latest builds but it will still look cool. Astro32
Recognise the Dude on the right? Lorne Greene. His nickname was The Voice Of Doom when he was a radio announcer in Canada during WWII. His best claim to fame were the various TV series he starred in. Battlestar Galactica was my favorite!

LSP_Ray
OOOooo, starting to look like a Heli-chopper now!!! Paint makes a bit of difference with this kit!
Allok
The home made decals didn't turn out as bad as I expected. (I did use half a litre of floor wax, however ) The flat coat has left lots of tiny white specs all over the model, not quite sure how to remedy this. Next up, I'll tint the glass and paint the rotor tips. Keith.
Allok
All done... A truly horrible kit, don't buy one. At least I've cleared a little space in Revell stash for the Ju 88.
