chaza64
What are you all using for piping and tubing hold down straps. I am detailing my bf 109 g6 engine and want ideas for the wiring and piping hold downs. I look forward to seeing your talented suggestions. I have used Tamiya tubing from their military range and F1 cars. However the straps seen on the aircraft engines are metal with rubber underneith. europapete
I have used black decal strip with a slightly narrower silver strip on top, or black decal strip with a top piece of tin foil. Rick Griewski, chaza64 and scvrobeson
Tony T
I'm going to use cut bits of adhesive aluminium tape to 'tie' hydraulic lines on jet landing gear and for bands on countermeasures and other electronic canisters, e.g. https://www.screwfix.com/p/diall-aluminium-foil-tape-silver-45m-x-75mm/4415v Buster99, Woody V and chaza64
chaza64
I have used Hvac tape before, its fickle, it sticks initially, but over time it comes undone. Buster99, Woody V and Tony T

I'll bear that in mind and use extra adhesive. Thanks.
chaza64
I found some flat lead ribbon in my spares box, that seems to do the job.
scvrobeson
Hasegawa makes flat black and various metal tone adhesive film sheets, I've found that those work great. Matt chaza64
