PhilB Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 I had to use 0.005" card to define an engine hatch cover on a 1/24 SHAR. Very thin Ca is your friend as it doesn't melt the plastic. LSP_K2 1

Chek Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 For the record, Tamya have a product called Pla-paper available 0.05mm and up. I haven't had call to use it yet, but have tested it and it sticks with liquid cement and cyano. RLWP 1
ChuckT Posted February 19, 2020 Author Posted February 19, 2020 Thanks. I just ordered some now to give a try.
thierry laurent Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 By the way you can use paper as plastic sheets or strips. Just drop some very thin CA glue on it and the properties will become very similar.
ChuckT Posted February 22, 2020 Author Posted February 22, 2020 Interesting. I'll give it a try. Thanks!
ChuckT Posted February 22, 2020 Author Posted February 22, 2020 FYI, I also ordered the Tamiya pla plate super thin plastic (1.2mm/.05", .5mm/.02", .3mm/.01" thick) and will update this thread once I get my hands on it.
