Did I hear that someone is coming out with a 1/32 I-16 in the near future?

I'll be in the market for a Rata in this scale so if any one knows anything please pass it on.

Hi Jeff. The Azur 1/32nd I-16 type 10 has been available for 4 months or so. Check rollmodels.com or any of your favorite sites for it. Check the build articles with photos at this site.......Gino Dykstra in mid Jan. Also, check at Hyperscale for article by Steve Palffy in mid December. Mine is built and awaiting decals. Its a great looking model however it does not just fall together......but NOT a difficult build.

Hi Jeff,

Your rumor is very true! Azur has come out with the I-16 Typ 10. One source:

http://www.squadron.com/ItemDetails.asp?item=AZ0046

And there are two reiviews on this site:

Azur Polikarpov I-16 Type 10 - Reviewed by Francis Gallemi

http://www.largescaleplanes.com/reviews/Ki...r/I-16/I-16.htm

and:

Azur Polikarpov I-16 Type 10 -- Reviewed by Gino Dykstra

http://www.largescaleplanes.com/reviews/Ki...r/Rata/Rata.htm

And Special Hobby has announced for 2005 the future release of 1:32 'Polikarpov I-16 type 17 (Soviet)'.

There have also been several builds posted on various sites. Seems to be a pretty nice kit.

I apologize if I have misunderstood your question.

Hi all,

Back to modelling this month after a 20 yr gap!

Visit the data decals site and vote for his new I16 Russian set. He is thinking of producing a short run if there is enough interest.

Contact Resine have produced a heap of dry decals for type 10-24 I16s. Would be great for the Special Hobby Type 17 Rata and the Azur type 10 too. There is a review on Cybermodeller.

Data decals are not planning any I16 sets, so this is the only show in town.
