FlorinM
Thank you so much for the kind words, I find them encouraging. And yes, It would be AWESOME if we had a brand new, decent P-51B/C in 1:32nd or even better, 1:24th! Right now I am working on the left hand wall, the console has some tiny levers that need to be done. Out2gtcha
FlorinM
Throttle quadrant and some tiny levers: yellow is for the flaps, black is the carburetor air control, red with silver button is the bomb release, and the silver one being the throttle handle sandokan, Sharkmouth and Ralph-D

FlorinM
Left cockpit wall done. The Carpet Monster has snatched the flap lever. A new one was made, just like the others, by heating copper wire to melting point, a bead forms at the end. FlorinM
Grey pigment was used to enhance the 85- gal. fuel tank while waiting for the glue to cure on the fuselage frames that will be visible. Linden veneer was used on the frame behind the fuel tank to replicate the plywood bulkhead. sandokan and Sharkmouth

FlorinM
Thanks! Unlike Sisyphus who has to start all over again once the boulder has reached the top, I will complete this, hopefully in a year or so.
FlorinM
A big "Thank you!" to Rajfu for helping me with the dimensions of the fuel gauge for the fuel tank, this is what I came up with, all it needs is the brace that fixed it to the radio rack. Also did a dry fit test of the radio equipment, looks suitably busy: sandokan, X15, Ralph-D and 1 other

FlorinM
Aires has provided the armor for the pilot in one single piece. Like the rest of their cockpit correction set for the P-51B, it is inaccurate. The seat support is a work in progress, with stretched sprue coiled around styrene rods. The armor itself is sheet styrene cut to dimensions, while the brackets for the seat support, fixed on the top of the wing and not visible in the end were made to provide extra stability. sandokan, Sharkmouth and Ralph-D
FlorinM
A tubular brace was added, all that remains now is to add the mount points for the head armor: Sharkmouth, sandokan and Ralph-D

FlorinM
Thank you, Gentlemen, this feedback is most encouraging, this blog shall proceed along the same lines. But this is far from the world's coolest build, there are here modellers of far greater skill than the author of this blog, and the stuff achieved so far pales in comparison with their work.
