Ralph Riese
Ralph, thanks for the comments. The figure is Metal Soul, who I believe are an off-shoot of Andrea Miniatures. The figures come pre-painted, I stripped it down, cut off the base and re-painted it. Cheers Mike - info much appreciated. Will keep an eye out foe the figure - and for the decal sheet. Ralph. Mikester
Beautiful paint work, great job! Cheers, D.B. PS what did you use to get that 'weathered' B & W image? Very effective. Thanks D.B! That effect is done with a freeware program called Photoscape. It comes with several antique filters, neat program especially for free.
Cpig
Great job Mike, love the finish and really love the pictures, especially the b/w.
Thomas Lund
Excellent - I had to scroll up and see that the person in the BW picture had the same stance as your figure to see it was not a photo of the real deal. Impressive!
Ads
Lovely finish Mike - have you ever made the Hasegawa kit and how would you compare it in finish wise? How are the rivets to you? Ads
Mikester
Lovely finish Mike - have you ever made the Hasegawa kit and how would you compare it in finish wise? How are the rivets to you? Ads Ads, Yeah, I've done the Hasegawa and have a bunch in the stash. The Trumpy needs a little TLC, I would consider the mods I listed as minimum for a 109 enthusiast or someone looking for a reasonably accurate model, but fit and detail wise I don't think it's too far behind Hasegawa. The rivets are a little heavy handed IMO, but not outrageously bad. Ads
mattlow
Very nicely finished 109. Love the camo, love the weathering. Great. Matt
