Japanese Aotake?

Hey guys. I'm getting a start on the Z-M J7W Shinden, and I had one question before I really get going on it. The instructions say to do the wheel bays and other interior areas with aluminum, but I'm wondering if it should be aotake primer? Does anyone know how long into the war that was used, and what areas it would have been used on? I'm thinking gear bays, but maybe engine bay and gun bays as well?

Thanks guys. The pictures in the book about the Shinden shows aluminum as well, I was just wondering if that was part of the restoration. Guess I'll go with aluminum instead of aotake. Thanks for the help guys.
