LSP_K2 Posted September 22, 2012 Author Posted September 22, 2012 More of the same, this time the starboard wing assembly. Still a little "tweaking" to be done, but basically ready for paint.
LSP_K2 Posted September 23, 2012 Author Posted September 23, 2012 Quite envious of your den! Thanks. The den is actually my favorite room in this old house. Built in 1938, the house is certainly showing her age (as am I), but still has it's good points,... a very large kitchen, as well as the den, which is man cave #2.
LSP_K2 Posted September 23, 2012 Author Posted September 23, 2012 Another gorgeous day, more mindless prep work; this time the old Otaki Thunderbolt.
Out2gtcha Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Another gorgeous day, more mindless prep work; this time the old Otaki Thunderbolt. Nice work Kev.....................we must be sharing the same band of great mid-western weather...............in gorgeous here as well LSP_K2 1
Guest Dekenba Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Thanks. The den is actually my favorite room in this old house. What's s man cave #1?
LSP_K2 Posted September 23, 2012 Author Posted September 23, 2012 1938 is not an old house! What's s man cave #1? This. mustang1989 1
Guest Dekenba Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Multiple lights - check; Small shelves - check; Large shelves - check; Adjustable lighting - check; Multiple draw storage - check; Magnetic tool rack - check; A few kit boxes scattered around - check; Un-carpeted floor - check; Tools within easy reach - check. Yes, that's certainly man cave #1. Is that also a coffee flask you have there - or perhaps something a little stronger?!
LSP_K2 Posted September 23, 2012 Author Posted September 23, 2012 Is that also a coffee flask you have there - or perhaps something a little stronger?! Nope, just coffeine. I had to give up the booze eons ago.
LSP_K2 Posted September 23, 2012 Author Posted September 23, 2012 Another "sacrifice" to the den project, this time an old Tamiya Ki-84, (given to me by a pal for this project). Fit is actually pretty good for a much older Tamiya kit. I figure between American, British, German, Japanese and Russian, I'll stay busy for years on this. At some point in the future, I also have some French, Italian and others to throw into the fray. mustang1989 1
Guest Peterpools Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Kev I'm exhausted watching you work at such a pace! Nice work on the Jug and ther Ki-84 Peter
LSP_K2 Posted September 24, 2012 Author Posted September 24, 2012 Perhaps after purchasing reference material, I should actually look at it. (I glued the Ki 84 cowling on upside down.)
LSP_K2 Posted September 25, 2012 Author Posted September 25, 2012 ...AWESOME....{ at times like this I wish I had a cellar like MY PARENTS old house....hmmmm} ...And may I ask where are the books..on the other side, no doubt.. Bookworms like ME need to know these things too you know...... Edit: great work so far too. Actually, the books are everywhere,... hobby room, bedroom, living room, den, etc. I'd say roughly a third are in the hobby cave, the rest are spread out on shelves in all the other rooms.
LSP_K2 Posted September 26, 2012 Author Posted September 26, 2012 Another one gets thrown to the wolves, an Otaki Zero getting ripped to shreds by,... well, I haven't really figured that out yet.
Guest Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 All I can say Kev, is your celling is gonna be awesome ! Keep it up.....Harv
