blackbetty
thanx brenden! i worked some more on the wells (pretty boring, huh?) made a box out of sheet, using the eduard part for the roof
blackbetty
since the part is too small i added self made strips of ribbed material on the sides and the strengtheners on top i had a pretty hard time bulging in the rear part, but finally managed
blackbetty
some boxes went between the little spars on the outside
blackbetty
i have one side finished and it actually snaps in place
blackbetty
it is not totally correct, the rear bulged part should be higher it dawned to me that the upper fuselage skin might be the actual roof of the well gona think about this a little more.... blackbetty
thanx for watching my build and the kind comments brian, loic, matt and martin! walked away from the bench for a day or two, then sat down and took a good hard look at the wells and decided they wont do. i will try and use the uppere fuselage as a roof, that should not only give me the desired depth, it should also have the right curvature of the roof, as well as the taper present to the front and back first i marked the position of the well i made against the upper fuse
blackbetty
then i ground off the raised portion that serves as a base for the fin on top
blackbetty
this would be in the way of the well i taped on to get an idea of the depth i was after
