Mark P
Hello all: When the new Eduard kit was first photographed I discussed the Eduard 109 wheels and control surfaces with Jerry and we concluded that they did need some attention. Subsequently, Eagle Editions has announced new wheels and control surfaces for the Eduard kit. I don't have any further details as to price and when these items will become available. I'll post (or EE will post) when details become available. BTW, the new 1/32nd scale Bf 109 E-1 decals are now available from EE. As soon as my samples arrive I will provide detailed reviews of these three sheets to LSP. Mark Proulx

CharlesMetz
Man, those are some nice wheels! Nice, perhaps ... but wrong. Bf 109s wore either of two kinds of wheels, one with two large radial "fins" between each pair of spokes: and another with additional, smaller radial "fins" or "ridges" between each pair of spokes: However, the spokes on both wheel variants are of essentially constant width, whereas the Aires wheels have strangely tapered spokes: Charles Metz
rotary
although i think a few light scrapes with a blade could go a long way to sorting that out charles---a pity eduard got it a bit wrong in the first place though! dave.
Pitbiker
Okay Charles, They are not perfect, but better than the Kit-wheel´s. Here the Hasegawa Bf 109 G-4 wheel`s, they`re not either perfect. Pitbiker
Mark P
To all: Just received images of the new 1/32nd scale Bf 109 E wheels from Eagle Editions. They will do more than satisfy the needs of those currently working on the Eduard kit. I am sure EE will have images posted on their site very soon of these new resin replacements. I expect the wheels to be available very soon and will notify everyone when the site is updated or when I have further release details. jfgesquire
Those EE/Radu wheels are nice, but $12 plus shipping for just those 2 parts is out of my price range. What's interesting is that if it were a Trumpeter kit , the line would be: "But why didn't they just do it right in the first place. It costs as much to tool and make an incorrect part as it does to make the part correctly." Eduard certainly deserves the same crticism, so I will: Why didn't they just do it right in the first place. It costs as much to tool and make an incorrect part as it does to make the part correctly. I know it's a great kit, just don't expect to fit the cowl with the engine, the wheels and control surfaces need to be replaced, the fuselage has a bulge, the . . .
