1/32 Su-25SM conversion for Trumpeter kit.

Hi all

I've taken a break from my usual armour modelling and decided to try my hand at an aircraft kit for a change, as the Su-25 has been a long time favourite of mine I chose it as the subject of this build... not being one for building out of the box I've decided to draw up and print the various bits to build a current Russian Su-25SM / SM3... I've almost finished the set and was wondering if anyone else would be interested in the files as well... gratis as in free of charge for personal use only?

I'll post up some pictures of the 3D files once I work out how to post photos here.

Very cool! What all does the conversion entail?

Ecm pods with pylons for the outer wing station, various antennas, fore and aft UV sensors, new lower fin section with sensors, 50mm flare launchers for lower fuselage as well as replacement flare launcher inserts for the nacelle mounted units, new instrument panel with MFDs, new HUD, new AOA vanes, new IFF antennas, new nose probes with revised layout... and reworked UB-32 missile pods among other bits.

I am quite interested. Big fan of the Su-25 as well and I have a few conversion in mind too.

I'm just doing a final test print now to make sure everything fits as it should if all is ok I'll work out a way to share the files, probably google disk or the like... would love to see build pics if anyone decides to take a shot at it.

well I can't get the picture thingy to work but you can download some of my creations on Cults for free I will eventually upload the whole Su-25SM set to there but in the meantime here are a couple of rocket pods to have a look at.

you'll find most of the bits (minus cockpit details that I haven't finished yet) here... https://cults3d.com/:2036319

all parts have been test printed and came out fine, the ECM pods might look the same but they are handed so you will need to print out one of each.

My first conversion planned is a SU-25T (from the dual seat) but your parts make me hesitate to switch that and address the single seater first. If I do I'll be sure to post picture.

You need to host the photos somewhere like imageshack, etc. Then link them here.

Generally, you will need to post the http link that contains the actual .jpg

 

 

Once you do that, the forum software will automatically turn that link into a picture
