  1. hi Harold, are they an improvement over the Trumpy M kit intakes (which are already enlarged)? if yes, I will have to buy...
  2. so there is a further problem of amplitude of the windshield arc on the Trumpeter M kit?
  3. For the Hasegawa if you want to get an M there are the Cutting Edge SuperFox intakes if you can find them
  4. where can we find this set? it seems out-of-stock everywhere... I also have the revell apache in my stash
  5. almost almost it looks nicer with the conical nose .... that flat nose looks a bit strange. How do you prefer it? but a positive thing is that you could hang up the rocket launchers, while in the standard version no, right?
  6. Thank you, I was interested in knowing just the aesthetic differences
  7. sorry for the ignorance but what makes the BN version more attractive than the standard version to justify the purchase of this set? thank you
  8. where can I find that thread? thanks sir.
  9. the G version (especially 28° gruppo of 3° Stormo) with the belly orpheus pod is stunning but it forces you to renounce the intermediate wing pylon (for the sparrow or the aspide) http://www.916-starfighter.de/Large/Stars/wA3-35.htm
  10. the thing that makes me turn up the nose is that, starting from the canopy, first it widens (too) and then shrinks again... in 1/48 instead the spine is too high and convex
  11. the only correct spine in 48th and 32nd scale is the Hasegawa IMHO
  12. ok, now we only need a resin cockpit, resin tires and full metal uncercarriage and, of course, a large stencils sheet for all the airframe and ordnance....
  13. Zane Jacobs could be your best bet: http://www.mavdecals.co.za/
  14. I have the Trumpy ATFLIR in my hands and it seems (strangely) pretty accurate...even the scale measurements match. The problem is the conformal pylon, it has to be reshaped in the forward part mostly, as Starfighter said. Hasegawa 1/48 conformal pylon is pretty accurate instead. Agreed...but the perspective of the photo tricks a bit.
  15. I have checked better in the weaponry sprues, and well the ASQ-228 was present! But it is not minimally depicted in the instruction sheet ... Trumpeter evidently made it after they realized the AAQ-25 had never been carried by the Super Hornet and added the new pieces, but forgot to include them in the instruction sheet. Comparing it with the excellent ATFLIR Hasegawa 1/48 included in the box of the -18E, it can be seen that the Trumpeter has been practically pantographed by a unit and a half ... this time Trumpeter has done things right! Only the port conformal pilon needs a remodeling in the leading edge, and once again we confirm that the SH Hasegawa 1/48 kit is practically perfect ...
  16. and the aftermarkets? a so large scale needs a lot of detailed aftermarkets (wheels, cockpit, weapons, PE exterior etc.) I would have preferred the sharkmouthed RAF version (GR.7/9) though
  17. thanks Maurizio, so please let us know as soon as the decals are ready ciao p.s. so Vietnam USN mk.83s were slick body and not rough?
  18. Hi Maurizio, Vietnam Mk.83s (green) had yellow or black decals? I need 9 pcs. but I'd like to color them green. (I suppose black over dark green can't be seen). ciao
