  1. No problem Jon The tri color is Non Specular (Flat) sea blue FS-35042 Intermediate Blue FS-35164 Flat white. Regards, Ron
  2. Well not that amazing. He was replying to the e-mail I just sent him asking when it might ship. Just so happens that is today
  3. I am assuming you are not talking about the tri color scheme and only the blue grey upper surfaces and light grey lowers? If so the correct Blue Gray in the Model Master line is USN Blue Gray No 2055. You should be able to cross reference that to what ever paint brand you use. There were not FS numbers in those days. I used MM FS 36622 Camo gray for the lower surfaces on my Dauntless (same scheme). Don't know if that is correct but it looks right.
  4. Well it certainly looks good. I really like the OD finish and weathering. How about some more pics?
  5. Paul Fisher just sent me an e-mail today to confirm he is shipping my Fury tomorrow. I am really looking forward to both kits to show up. Both look like real quality and I love the multi media kits, something special about them. These two rate the best so I am pretty pumped. Thanks all,
  6. Thanks for the info guys. I just ordered mine. Maybe it will turn up about the same time as my Paul Fisher Fury?
  7. I think I would really enjoy building this kit. Where can I locate one? I search on the net and only get reviews?
  8. Hello all, I haven't had much time for modeling the last few weeks. I got back onto this one last night. The fit is really good for a limited run kit. I glued the upper wing halves to the fuse then added the lower. It takes a little trimming and fitting but everthing matches up. It only took a little filler in the lower rear joint. The nose gear is really fiddly to make. It took me over an hour to get it right. Test fit allot with the fuse before gluing or a person could wreck it. thanks for looking.
  9. Wow, what a nice build... and something you certainly don't see very often. Very nice
  10. What's wrong with it. It looks really good to me.
  11. Hey Rocky, I visit Sugarland/Rosenberg all the time... cheers! Sandro, your paint work is fabulous. So are all the little details you've added. Can I make one comment without sounding like a rivit counter? the break lines don't look right yellow? shouldn't they be black? Looks great.
  12. I am sorry to hear that Larsa, Does anyone make an A/M canopy for the old Revell offereing? maybe this is an option?
  13. You will really enjoy this kit. There is absolutely nothing a person could say negative about it, it's perfectly good fun to build and I am a big fan of the Desert schemes on the 109 so I truely enjoyed this build. Have fun with it. Please post when you get started! Cheers, Ron
  14. This is a great build thread. I plan on giving this a go myself thanks to this Great stuff.
  15. Thanks all, Thanks Javlin but I don't know if I get that comment? what's in Swinefurt? a reference to all the lead? I used allot of wieght, I hope the nose geat doesn't collapse Thanks for the much for the link, I enjoyed reading it. There is some useful points there on the front LG. etc
  16. I cracked this kit open last week. Overall it is a pretty good kit. The Cockpit is pretty lacking though. It has some of the elements but most are incomplete. Like the pillar for the emergency landing gear crank but no crank etc..... Here are some pics of details I added to the kit. I am not shooting for a 100% accuracy here, just a resemblance to the real thing. I hope I added enough weight to the nose so it’s not a tail sitter…. Comment welcome
  17. Thanks for the kind words all. Much appreciated,
  18. If it were mine, I would be very proud of it. Very nice,
  19. I was just going to look at that with my attempt. My concern is the seperate allerones. If there is a small length difference between the upper and lower wings this maybe an issue. The other option maybe a spreader bar in the fuse? I'll post my results as well. Right now it looks just like Freddie's without wings.
  20. Thanks for the heads up on some of the build issues with this kit. I just started mine this week Your's is looking good. I agree the cockpit is pretty bare out of box
  21. Thanks all, Next build is Special Hobbies P-39 while I wait for Paul Fisher to send me that Fisher Fury I ordered a few weeks ago!!
  22. That really looks good! I need to get that kit.
  23. Thanks Geoff Well it's done. Here are some pics. This is a fun build and one of my favorite paint schemes becuase it's attractive yet a person gets to go nuts weathering it with sun fade, dust and grime comment welcom
