  1. Of course they did! It will spawn another 50 page speculation thread that will end in dog fart jokes or get shut down once someone mentions WNW
  2. Maybe we’ll see one next and then? hopefully there’s enough difference in the Kotare and ZM basics to keep people happy. So does this mean the Hasegawas etc are redundant? Dont know much about the subject. Have a Hasegawa F tropical in the stash and will be holding onto that one for now.
  3. Finally! Would have gone for an early version ( to go vs the mk1-v!) Will pick one up to support them, hopefully everyone does and everyone else hope you buy 5! Bring on release no 3 !
  4. http://www.hobbyboss.com/Uploads/202401/65a108b387b8a.jpg sprue shots Not bad- purchase on sale for me. Now that HB have done it no one else will
  5. Interesting conundrum for scale purists. This or the Border 1/35 for much less
  6. Sounds about right from my observations. It’s all supply and demand with fluctuating FOMO thrown in. Apart from that everything is more expensive.
  7. Might need to pay him/her/insert pronouns off to co-ordinate getting them past the Mrs
  8. As long as you’re not a postie that’s fine…
  9. Is the dihedral off as well?
  10. Yeh it’s the other clear turrets that are the real difficult fix!
  11. So I guess just like Tamiya made 1/35 the scale for tanks, Border are doing same for aircraft, albeit with an established 1/32 market which they’ll just ignore
  12. It looks like they are carving out WW2 1/35, maybe that’s where the money is. So they’ll have to do better than Tamiya, Kotare,ZM to be equal best in show for Spits, Zeros, Mustangs etc which is a tall order. But maybe they are aiming to come a close second like Great Wall, Meng, ICM etc. And then carve out a niche. I’ll consider them for sure but got more than enough for now. Another half dozen kit releases and a few that interest then maybe could become yes. Their He111 so far looks the best in any scale.
  13. Well I’m sure it won’t hurt Border’s balance sheet if they can’t get a few 1/32 modellers to buy 1/35. If they keep churning out decent quality stuff we’ll have to assume their strategy was good. If they go under then so much for that.
  14. If they were interested in the 1/32 market in the rest of the world maybe they could just upscale and do 1/32 after the 1/35 release has been pushed out. Seems weird to have both but not really manufacturing does it all the time for different markets- though apples and oranges- if they can make a profit that way maybe they will? The computer graphics and kit releases so far tell a story of a company on the up. If they can improve their instructions that’s all really needed. Aftermarket will hopefully follow.
  15. Can’t help but think Border could have added new energy to 1/32 modeling- maybe they still might. The He 111 pictures look really good. Way better than TrumpyBoss offerings If they do a ki-67 Peggy I’m all in even if it’s 1/48
  16. There is always hope. Seems though Europe is doing its best to follow through, and the US President despite being undermined
  17. Well there’s a lot of directions they can push the boat out with and if they actually do a good job - and let’s face it these guys, Meng and Great Wall and some other Chinese companies are lifting their game- this could be a tide scale-premetist Canute might not be unable to hold back.
  18. Put the tin foil hat back on boyo, scaleism is not a dirty word we’ve had it in the colonies for ages and every one just gets along fine and dandy.
  19. In a way how do you get around a saturated market? Create a new one. And so far they have no competition. If they make something accurate, detailed and well fitting enough then who knows. Could be the start of a whole new LSP scale. Let’s see if any other big Chinese manufacturers see an opportunity and jump in. when they first started doing 1/35 I thought what? Why? And that won’t catch on! But now - well let’s see if they’re onto something.
  20. Possibly someone with a Cricut and the skills could set up shop?
  21. Well some folks are ignoring 1:35 and the 1:35 manus are ignoring them. It will be interesting to see what the future holds. Will it be a trend or the new scale? Or both? Anyway yes looking forward to the ICM catalog coming out.
  22. Ok but isn’t that why they are doing 1/35 because there are more sales in it for them ( as mentioned in Asia?)
  23. Good time to be a modeller- dare I say another Golden Age?
