  1. They seem enthusiatic enough BUT, churning out endless ideas in CAD is the easy cheap bit, what might trip them up is when they need £200,000 to start producing tools and with the multitude of CAG designs and ideas they have, there will be a big bottleneck of stuff waiting on profits to produce more tooling….
  2. Generally disappointed, poor cgi is ruining it, the crash scene was tertible, me110’s called ju88’s, 109s called 190s, unnecessary Brit bashing
  3. Thats the ONLY reason im a member, saves queing till 10 and 40 quid
  4. I think their quality has dropped precipitously on the latest release of the stilleto. The print layers are terrible in places
  5. The problem here is that like the helldiver, the resin parts wont work well with the injected components, HPH’s biggest failing was designing an injected helldiver and then selling bits of their resin one to detail it, due to resin shrinkage and thicknesses , its like they were designed for a different scale
  6. The comments you noted are correct re the terribly odd, differentialy sized and ill fitting cockpit parts, the etch used in the kit is just about ok but the flaps set is too thin and better scratchbuilt, the issues run across both the civilian kit and the dday model, i found the civillian one a little easier to build (this may have been partly down to experience tho), i converted my military one to the floatplane version with a set of 3d printed resin floats
  7. Having built two, i can also add that its a pig of a kit
  8. Sadly i never bother uploading photos, too much effort, needs to be simpler, anyway, other than the glazing that takes a lot of work (2 sets supplied incase of accidents) its great, as i said, getting hold of one,is the toughest thing about it, you cant use credir cards or paypal to buy Russian goods from western countries… you need to email the owner and work something out using possibly paypal but a middleman aswell, its a ballache
  9. Yes, very nice, the vacformed glassis a bit of a pain but great kit, very very well detailed
  10. Been around a while, great kit to build, very difficult to get hold of, you cant buy off the website due to the ongoing Russian problems
  11. The rudder is way off and the centreline of the spinner is way too high aswell
  12. They are excellent at innovative injection moulding and kit quality generally. They only really fall short on accuracy, and not ALL of the time…
  13. You might be mixing it up with a different kit….. dont think they will..
  14. And thats why, for the majority of the time you are not catered for, but everyone else is , nothing will change detail wise from companies , because it doesnt have to…
  15. You are correct and those that dont care VASTLY outnumber those that do and are vocal about it
  16. Corsair, probably would like Swordfish Gladiator or Sea fury would be good
  17. Where do you get your information from re wingnut wings? Or is it just what others have said without evidence, im in the fortunate position of being happy to buy multiple kits at that price, dont forget, the percentage of modellers worldwide that post on here is tiny compared to the percentage of modellers worldwide, that buy and build the products without ever sharing the info, out of 25 -30 modellers that visit a local club, only 4/5 at best know of this site or are interested in social media
  18. The reality is its terrible, the aerofoil section is beyond a joke… ,it does not hold up at all to any level of scrutiny in terms of accuracy or detail
  19. Found it https://www.axels-modellbau-shop.de/katalog/en/trumpeter-00942-sd-kfz-251-ausf-d-german-halftrack-1-16.html
  20. I have both kits, the resin parts are too small for the injected kit, they are designed to fit the thicker resin fuselage, i find their etch poor being to thin and not structurally up to the task. ive built everything hph and infinity have to offer and find them good fun, they are actually my favourite manufacturer
  21. I thought the hph Walrus was a great kit and really enjoyed it. you are wrong about hph using the resin Fuselage transferred into injection moulding, and there lies the kits biggest issue.. Had they done that, it would, as an injected kit, been much better and all the extras would have fitted well. The problem is, they used the totally stock resin parts from the resin kit to make up the ‘aftermarket’detail sets, the issue being, they fitted the resin kit very well indeed, but werent even close to fitting the injected kit due to the differences in part thinckness the vampire and Val wont have this issue as they didnt exist in resin so parts are bepoke
