discus
Hello,Here is the revell version of the Spit Mk IX. A very nice kit much much cheaper than the Tamyia one. Of course we can find differences. The Tam fit is near perfect, the engine is a kit in itself, the lines scribbing is really nice and no aftermakrt is needed. But the revell, even with some aftermarket remains a better bargain. I replaced the wheels and exhaust pipe by Eduard resin. The revelle original pieces are quite bad. I also used eduard metalic landing gear. Some of the decals are from the Renaissance sheet dedicated to the Free French in the RAF. discus
Thanks Dennis. It is quite a straight forward built. I forgot to mention that I replaced the orginal guns by the one from masters (originaly for Tamyia so I had to enlarge the hole to fit them. Cees Broere
Wonderful, I also built this kit and liked it very much, apart from the issues you mentioned. Looks like you undercarriage has sagged forward a bit.Cheers Cees
