alaninaustria
Last but not least... my latest creation. Me 109 K-4! Details: EE spinner, MDC cockpit, dry transfers from Hobby Decal, and Montex masks for the complete markings! Lots of work with the tulip pattern! AceofClubs
Nice Kurfurst, well done Alaninaustria. Nice touch oil stains on cowling! Why parallel white stripes on tail section? What did you use to obtain the glossy surface? Best compliments and I looking for more pics. Cheers Fil
alaninaustria
Thanks Fil, to answer your questions, the info for the white tail stripes is confirmed by Jerry Crandall and the JaPo books on the Me 109 K-4. It was defintely on the real aircraft. The gloss is the Gunze one. I made as many stains as I could identify on the many close up pics that I have seen of the real aircraft. All the markings were airbrashed, including the tulip. It was painted first in white, then masked and then the red was painted on. I sanded with 2000 grit micro mesh foam pads between every spray Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers Alan

alaninaustria
A little bit goes a long way they say..... this machine flew in the Northern sector of the Czech territory for JG 52.... remains found at Deutsch Brod airfield... (JaPo source) a beautiful camo scheme.... I love late war German camo (especially on the K-4)
