I wish when Shapeways show you a picture of the the print and not the screen shot, as I have found when it comes to complex curves all printers have there problems and the frosted finish is no exception.
My experience is to get the finish right it takes a bit of work.

Bob,

think in the other way about the 3D print technology.
With the 3D print you can "technically" create a negative form(s) including venting pipes and used it to do the resin.
Would be interesting if this was ever done

Hi Ralph,
Yes I see your point but my problem is on some curved surfaces that are smooth come out with a different "surface finish" it's something about how the part is positioned in the printing box.
I am no expert on the technical aspect of 3D printing but I have been working on getting 3D prints into a form that they will reproduce for many years now.

I received right now from Shapeways 1/32 and 1/24 exhausts. Really superb 3D print!
This is my very early experience with 3D printed product.
Thank you crowd letting me know these excellent extras!
