About the turn of the Century. I bought mine 'used' on-line only a few years ago. 

 

These are the decals, which are very nicely printed on my example...

My father was ground crew on the F-102.  I asked him, and the ones he serviced in Germany were all gray.

They were all originally Aircraft Gray, then quite a few of those sent overseas received SEA camo ca.1966, then a handful were painted in overall aluminium ca.1969. I don't know if the latter was experimental or better covered previously camouflaged examples (or both) but judging from photos it was relatively rare. But very clearly silver in colour photos.
