Lothar
I've just got their F-4C/D kit and I'm really impressed with it. That triggered the desire to get a F-4J too (one of my all time favourite aircraft) and I see there are different boxings - Navy / Marines etc.. Are the differences just in the decals and weapons while the basic plastic is just the same? An inquiring mind wants to know. Lothar
Cheetah11
The J models have additional sprues for the cockpit differences and slotted tailplane. This includes a belly tank not found in the C/D kit. The Marine J boxing has the bombs and weapon of the C/D included and the only boxing with the outer wing pylons. Thanks for that, makes the decision a lot easier!!! Lothar
thierry laurent
Note both references have a mix of Navy and Marines schemes. Lothar
Dave Williams
Just to be clear, all of the F-4 kits have a number common sprues, but have additional or replaced sprues for the specific version boxed. You can’t build a J out of the C/D boxing, a C/D out of the E boxings, and so on. As previously noted, the Marine J kit is the same of the original J kit, except for the addition of the bomb/MER/TER weapons sprue from the C/D kit, and a new sprue with outboard weapons pylons. Different decals, also. MikeC and Lothar 1
