Funny story, I bought the extra head set because it came with the tool to remove the standard chisel that the unit came with.

Mine came loose and I could not find a tool small enough to secure it, so bought the upgrade set.

I lost my original Allen wrench too, but will most certainly hang on to this one.

This isnt to do with modelling or modelling skills but either budget restrictions or laziness to eliminate issues that should not exist in a 500 dollar model kit.

In the same vein as they couldnt be bothered to include 2 or 3 canopie options for $500 it takes the polish of what is otherwise a very good model that im happy to have in my collection.

Hi Nige,

As  Juggernut and mgunns have said, both hot water and ammonia will easily dissolve klear. allowing mistakes to be corrected.

In terms of EPM's its each to his own on this one, i am not particularly bothered by them unless of course they are glaringly obvious and can easilly be seen, That said, I was "up against it" to get the Lanc done for Telford so couldnt really spend too much time correcting them.

The front to rear fuselage joint again, is really very good. it has been well thought out by HK in terms of engineering and tolerance. The photo below shows the join of the clear part to the normal part (just behind where "wavy painted " the camo.

the image below shows the port side joint. It is the joint immediately behind the observation blister.  It interlaces with the wing root connector. There is plenty of strength in this joint.

I would suggest following the instructions in connecting front to rear before joining the fuse halves as attempting to join a complete front to complete rear is waaaaay too much of a faff (if that makes sense)

The font turret is captive when the top faring is secured. Again that said it doesnt present too much of a problem by getting in the way.

One other point, the gun barrels are Master raf Brownings, not the kit parts.

How did you affix the barrels before you added the turret glass or after it was all together?

Check my sprue review vid at 27:50. Please confirm if this is in fact correct. I'm not trying tp plug my vid, it's just easier this way than saving a snip and posting it.

EDIT:- I can confirm those support rods are actually there, and shouldn't be, unless you're modelling your kit in major overhaul or restoration? I now need to look into exactly what needs to be removed, just the rod or is there something at either end that has been molded on by HK?

Make sure you let us know when you have figured it out Nige, lets know on LSM to.

$479 in sunny Australia and thats a decent price some have it higher.

Well over $500 in Japan...most arond mid 500’s.

HK have controlled prices tightly being pretty equitable across countries you did well to pay so little.

Hi Ron,

In all cases, the barrels were fixed before the glazing was secured.

There is plenty of wiggle room for this method of construction as I masked and painted the glazing before they went anywhere near the turret bases.

On another note, the gun bodies did require drilling to secure the barrels properly.
