I believe it's the oil vent on both sides of the mid fuselage on the early model A-4s (those with the J65).

Correct - the oil to the rear bearing of the engine was not returned to the reservoir but simply vented overboard at a rate of about two quarts per hour.

even modern day turboprops and fans do this as well. There was a G550 parked across the ramp a few days ago and smoke was pouring out the vents at idle. Awesome video
